Codes on the backs of pins or on the black cards?

For Christmas, my sister received pins from Disneystore.com. On the back of one of her pins a code is stamped. Something like this, J399-7444-2-10188. Similar codes are on some of my new pins black cards. Does anyone know anything about these codes? Thanks.

Funny..I noticed that stamp on the back of some of the NY Disney store pins..
I guessed it is like the box code on the vinylmations..to show where it came from?
