Do you think these free dining codes that are good in december will eventually be open to the public?

Also do you think they will do the free dining with visa again in december?

I know there is no way to know for sure, but based on what you have seen in the past....I am completely new to this!

No, I do not think the select dates in the email pin codes will come out for the general public. They didn't last year and I don't think they will this year either.

Disney Visa might offer some select free dining codes, but I doubt that they will release anything before September.

Last year was the first time free dining has ever been offered in Dec and even then it was only for Disney Visa holders, so who knows what will be available this year. I'm hoping right along with you though.

We got free Dining last December and we didn't have Visa Rewards...so there must have been something else floating around...:rotfl:

OK I am not able to post pictures yet, but here is the text from the PIN Email (With my PIN removed of course)

Now, I called to ask them some questions.

The offer mentions the Value resorts but my Disney Agent said she could likely get me a Moderate resort with Free dining on this PIN

The offer mentions 4 nights, but my agent told me that they will extend it up to 14 days of continuous stay.

Also the dates that you can use it are more loose than you would think. As long as you check in a day or 2 before the offer expires, they will extend the offer past the stated dates to cover your entire stay (Up to 14 days)

Lastly .... Wait for it ...... This one offer can be applied on up to 3 different rooms in the same party.

This is the norm for these offers. They always quote on the Values, showing how "cheap" Disney can be. It's like a teaser rate, but of course it's a real rate, and it's up to you to fit the perfect description that the offer applies to. It's nice that you can customize the trip to more days, and that you can book up to 3 rooms, so you can have friends/family join you on the same special.

If you book this, make sure you get all the rooms you want reserved before the PIN expires. For instance, you book one now, the pin expires, your friends/family decide they want to tag along so you call & try to reserve a second room... I don't think they are able to pull up the code & use it for the second room if it is already expired.

I'm kicking myself. Got one of these a few months back and lost it in my spam. Now I want to book for Dec. and it's expired. Probably no chance at all they'll send me another. :headache:

I also got a free dining pin a few months ago. I didn't book it because it was free dining for moderates and free counter service for Values. I just learned today that I could have chosen value and paid the difference (for four nights it would have been $88). Now, I would rather have the regular dining plan FREE, but I can't believe I didn't book it and pay the difference. I even called and talked to a CM, and she didn't mention that I could do this. Now, that code is expired, and I probably won't get another one either.

I am holding out hope for Disney Visa Free Dining. I hope it matches the dates we can go!

I have seen other posts, here where a TA and a CM have told others that a public offer or a Visa offer is coming for December. Rumor, I don't know but I'll hope it's factual. Last year the winter FD code wasn't released until September and I believe a code will hit sooner this year. The 110 day kickoff for dining reservations for that time of year begins in later August; so, I believe it will happen after that point in time. Also, the fall FD offer doesn't expire until the end of July; so, you can't expect to have concurrent deals going for FD going on.

Now, I will say there may be a different offer other than free dining for a winter deal. FD was offered for the first time last year for the winter time and it may or may not repeat. I'm booked for December 2009 and I would love a deal to come. The dates may not be identical to the current pincodes, but it won't be too far off if it comes through for all of us. Usually, the first two weeks of December are included in a code if it comes. You can usually book on the last day of the offer and it through the length of your stay.

I'm starting to believe these pincodes are a bad tactic by Disney and it's concerning me. If you get a pincode, you feel more special; so, you have a tendency to book, especially if it's a popular time. Now, if you don't get a pincode and you want to go you are anxiously waiting for a public code or a Visa offer to come. When a code comes you jump on it; because, you are grateful an offer came through to the public. Particularly, I don't like this marketing strategy by Disney, but if they think it works they will continue doing it.

Please note, I did my homework already and on December 18 prices change significantly for the resorts.

Good luck to all of us.

in my mother-in-law's name to our address. once again, last time, we received one in my brother-in-law's name to our address. so, we are already booked for the 1st week in dec. and it just so happens my inlaws are going too so we are booking w/free dining with this pin code!!!:cool1: love it! we are also going in sept/ w/FD. i need to lose a lot of weight before these trips!
good luck,
mousiemom
