I called yesterday to see if I had a code attached to my name for a trip for next year. I was told very nicely, nope, no code for our household. Then tonight I got ahold of next year's school calendar (I teach and dd will start K) and found a new date for a trip next year. I called for the quote and asked again if there was a current code attached to my name. Now there is! It's not the 40%---just gives me a value at $69 but the kicker is I JUST got it tonight and it was valid Jan.31--through Feb.14. Now I'd love to plan a quick get away but it'd be hard to do in a week!! Sadly, I know I can't do it but I did make a room only ressie for next Feb. Gotta love an election day in Feb for a long weekend!!

I wish they would use an E-mail system for the codes it would be so much easier then calling all the time.

Glad to see another new Marylander taking advantage of the DIS.It's a wonderful place for info.

this board and developing quite a little addiction to it :hippie:
We recently (a year) moved out of Bmore and into Ellicott City. Airport is only about 15 min from us so whenever we need to go anywhere (ahem, Disney) we're a little bit closer:thumbsup2

having been reading about the codes lately I wondered about how they notify people etc. I than read that people seem to get them at old addresses or other people's name at their addresses and decided to check an old email account I have - What a surprise - there was an email from Disney Destinations for a code - it is actually the notification of the pin number. I am unable to use it because of its time frame and it is for 20% off a value resort for April15-June 2 excluding Memorial Day weekend. So they do notify by email as well as other methods. That email address is at go.com which is somehow tied to Disney I think so maybe that had something to do with it. I will be more vigilant about checking from now on.
