Actually that would be $25 off. The rack rate is $99 a night and the discount rate is $74 a night. This is what it was last year.

I am going april2-7 they gave me a rate of $335 polynesian this is suppose to be AP rate does this sound right?

Disney must know that a lot of people trying to book codes do not actually have their AP yet and will be buying it upon arrival. If there is no code offered durning this Peak time won't less people buy an AP or not go alltogether? When Disney can get you to buy a pass they win in the long run because chances are you'll be coming back. They are missing a substantial amount of potenial AP holders over spring break. I don't know if I will buy an AP now. What's the point? I ususally have to travel over peak periods as do most people- that's why it's peak! They can't not offer codes then. People will not buy AP's for the perks if there are none when they (most) can travel.

Maybe since they did away with the BRP they might release codes a month at a time with say a 3 month window (todays code with the exception of easter break) is about 14 weeks - the 2 weeks with no code. Then they would release them based on bookings & whether they need us or not.

I was told the code was not out at 7 am, called back, was on hold for quite awhile, and then got through:

POFQ was $146 per night with my AAA rate, changed to $132.50 per night. (Both of these rates include tax.)

Got my AAA changed to AP. AAA was $291/night. AP is now $211/night. All after taxes.

Wow I feel lucky that I got one then. I don't know when you are going. We are going mid may. I was under the assumption that it's slow at AKL then and they almost never fill up.

If you really have your heart set on AKL standard..you might want to try to call back. When I was talking to the CM and asking about other resorts she said she didn't want to lose the AKL and held it or something.

Maybe with the high call volume lots of rooms were getting held but people weren't taking them, if that makes sense. My guess is that once the craziness of today or this morning is over, things will settle down and ressies will get changed.

I can't believe they are booked in June!

We picked standard...b/c that was what we could afford and I'm hoping for a little pixie dust by way of an upgrade..even one at a lesser cost. If not, we'll be happy anyways..it's our first time.

Yup...it's smarter for them to wait longer to release them. If summer is full, there may not be any rates released, but who the heck really knows except for the number cruncher in the back office.

Ended up at POP out of desperation! Was able to get 2 rooms at $115 each per night the first 5 nights and then $74 per room the last two nights when codes start. At this point I was willing to stay in a cardboard box!!! Glad to have gotten anything at all. Now it's off the resort thread to see about POP> My kids have always begged us to stay there. It looks like they will be getting their wish!

Whoo Hooo! I was able to change my May ressie at the Beach Club from AAA to the AP rate! Saves me an additional $64.11 per night off my AAA reservation. Total savings $780! Thanks everyone for the heads up this morning!

If they are sold out of rooms for that time, that does explain why there are no AP rates. They don't need them.

Glad you managed to salvage your resort stay. Just a reminder, when you check in tell them that you have a continuing reservation and they will make sure you don't have to move mid-trip. (They will check the full availability of the room they put you in and make sure it's available during your entire stay.) We have had continuing reservation many, many times at Pop Century and they are great at keeping you put.
