Code was better than AAA for us

I just called to see if we could get a better rate using "the code" than what we were quoted with AAA. I first asked if we had any discounts added to our name. NO. Then i asked if there were any discounts out there that we could apply to our dates. Not for the dates that I gave her. I gave the CM a certain code and she came back with the following:

Our options for resorts were POR, French Quarter, or CB. Standard room, with dining, and park hopper tickets, for 7 nights, 2 adults, $1761.56.

I did some math Never been good at math.. but i can't come up with what kind of discount she gave us.. It didn't add up to 40% off, and I really don't know what it discounted...I never could get a figure...

Maybe one of you could do the math . Anywho...I went ahead and booked CB, since it still is saving us more than $200.00 from what AAA quoted us. I am going to cancel my AAA ressies.

What do all of you think? Sounds like a better deal to me. I will just have to weigh the pros and cons if free dining comes out during that time, to see which is the better deal.

You can figure it out by adding the tickets for 2 adults (approx 500), the dining plan (approx 560). The rest is room for 7 nights. If it is less than the AAA (which is 15 - 20% depending on dates), then you probably got 40% off the room portion. You can figure out the rack room rate just by going to the website and doing room only for your dates.

In fact, I am sure it is good because 6 nights for an adult and junior 12yrs old, 7 day non hopping, and dining (same as 2 adults) rack rate at a mod is 1896.00. I checked that this morning.
