Code questions

Hi all,
I am anxiously awaiting the codes for November and have a question about them. I have a ressie for PO-R for 7 nights. However, there is a small possibility that I may be able to get a "free" 3 night stay at an offsite hotel (using my points). I will not know about using my points until AFTER the codes are *hopefully* coming out (last I read was 7/22). If I call to have a code applied to my present ressies but then have to change the ressie a week or two later from 7 nights to 4, will I (1) have to have an entirely new ressie, and (2) still be able to apply the same code to get a discount?

Any info. is greatly appreciated...........

You should be fine because you would be reducing the number of nights. If your were trying to add nights, that would be a different story.
