? Code I Received ?

I booked a trip for sept and received the 40% code which I later found out was not attached to my name the CM I talked to just gave me the discount. I was also told by two other CM's that I had no code attached to my name. Guess what, I was at my parents house today and found a postcard that was like a suitcase with lugage tag addressed to me.

My problem is this it is addressed to my maiden name at my parents address yet when I called disney they had my mom as the primary at my address from when I took her in Aug. I am signed up for anything and everything with disney and frequently purchase from their website. If I called about this code and booked and we went how would they handle that. Has anyone had this expierence before.

YES, I have!
I called Disney last night to see if I could get 40% off and there was no pin attached to my name. After a while i told her to check my old last name because we booked our honeymoon in my old name and there was!!!
BUT, my old name is the same address that we are still at so I don't know why they haven't sent me anything if it's the same address...
Oh well... I was just extremely lucky to take a chance asking about my old last name and it worked!

Thanks for the reply. I already booked a room only trip w/ a 40% discount but I am still waiting for the possibility of free dining.

Hi Mandy,

Our postcard was addressed to my husband with my parents address. I've been married for 10 years and he never lived there, so I wasn't sure where they got that address. I'm assuming we had wedding registry or honeymoon stuff go there with both our names and that is where they pulled the address from (it was so long ago). I went as far as digging through my box of wedding stuff and finding the original receipt for our honeymoon, but they said they wouldn't need it. We just gave them our new address.

I figured that if free dining does come out we will definitely stay for the long trip that is a savings of about 750 dollars with the room ony discount it is a savings of around 200 and I still have to pay for food. So I figure how much food could I get with the two hundred savings and basicly 2 TS. So I would prefer the free ddp but at least I have the discount if they don't offer so for me I feel like I win either way I just win more with free ddp. Especially since I have plans to spend about 200 on 2 new disney minnie dresses (blues ones that light up) and another trip for dd to BBB. Yes we probably could do without all of it but thats why I started a pepsi bank with our change and we add a 20 or so here and there. I also convert it to disney dollars so I can't spend it. And if it all isn't enough I just have DH work and extra week offshore so we have lots of spending money.

I am extremely happy now that I have come across two people who have had this happen. My dl doesn't expire until next year so I have never changed it from my parents address just my last name since I rent .

Hi kribit, I have to say I really enjoy seeing you everywhere I post even if you don't have pic it makes it alittle more personal and not just random.

That's so sweet. The first thing my husband asks me when I log off the computer is "how are your Disney friends today?" I'm starting to remember peoples screen names by their posts and am getting an idea of people's interests, etc...it's really neat. Oddly, this is the first time I've even posted on a board on the internet, so the picture thing is still a little foreign to me. Perhaps when I get up into the 1000's I'll put something up.

So Disney had 2 separate files for me in their computer system -- one in my maiden name which showed I hadn't been to Disney since 1999 -- and then another file in my married name which shows we go to Disney 2 or 3x a year. So in conclusion, my married name would probably NEVER receive a postcard.

That's so wierd... I don't know why I didn't receive my pin in the mail under my maiden name even though it was in Disney's system when I called
I had the same address under my maiden name by I dont receive ANYTHING from Disney with my old last name.

We had a pin come in my mothers name to OUR address. She has never lived with us. However, we have vacationed together..and often our reservations are linked. I was able to use the pin..as the address was the same. No problems this was 4 years ago.
