Code and Upgrade???

Hoping you can give me your thoughts:

I received a PIN and booked the Poly (garden view) for my upcoming trip back in November. I then worked my butt off over Christmas trying to save up the difference for a lagoon or MK view room. When I called back in January, the lagoon and MK view rooms were gone (with the code). They still had them, but it would be rack rate and that I cannot afford. The wonderful CM at CRO noted that I would be celebrating both my university graduation (5 years and 2 degrees!) and my birthday, and noted on the reservation a request for a lagoon or MK view room.

So, my question is, what is the chance of being upgraded on check-in? (I am even willing to pay for the upgrade).

In any event, I am just happy to be at WDW and staying at the Poly -- my dream resort! Thanks for your thoughts!

I returned from a stay at the Contemporary last week where I was booked for a Garden View room. I was upgraded not only to the main building, but to the concierge floor (atrium) with a Magic Kingdom view. Wishes do come true! Good Luck.
