Cocoa or Clearwater

We will have 2 nights at the beach. Looking for family oriented - don't want the spring break atmosphere (in Nov). I'm torn between Clearwater and Cocoa. Problem is we are flying out of Orlando at 11 a.m. Looks like Cocoa is about an hour where Clearwater about 2 hours. I had my heart set on the Gulf Coast, but that 1 hour could make the difference in my sanity departing with 3 children under 10. Do you guys like Cocoa as well? My kids just want to find shells - I'm assuming that would be the same either beach. How long does an average crew spend at Kennedy Space Center?

Susie....
For my money it has to be the Gulf. The sea will be warmer and the sand is nicer. If you do go to the Clearwater area go a little bit further south to Indian Rocks Beach. A lot quieter and some great restaurants in the area.

Cocoa is fine and I understand your dilemma due to travelling........still think the Gulf wins it though.
