Cocoa Beach

We are spending a couple nights in Cocoa Beach next week. Anyone have any recommendations for good restaurants or cool places to get a few drinks? Thanks!

Italian Courtyard
Fishlips (at the Port)...go around 4:30PM and see the ships depart; good bar too.
The Cove (in Satellite Beach)...only a 15 minute drive south...good bar

We have a vacation beach house there and spend quite a bit of time in the area (at least once a month). Most restaurants are hit or miss, but the ones above are the most dependable. Go to others at your own risk! For example, Grills at the port is liked by many, but we have never had a good meal there. The outside bar is great though. Coconuts on the beach is alko a good bar, but less than stellar restaurant

Can you tell me what I might be able to expect in the way of weather the end of December? We are considering a week at the Ron Jon in Cape Canaveral.

The Lobster Shanty on A1A in south cocoa beach is excellent, traditional American seafood type. And if you like Mexican there is a well known, excellent 'hole in the wall' called Taco City located a little south and across from the Shanty on A1A. It can get very crowded sometimes so be prepared to wait.

Yen Yen is a famous gourmet Chinese place that has been around a long time and is frequented by locals and astronauts when in town. And if you are looking for a romantic night out, look for the Mango Tree.

Is Merritt Island a separate town? (I know - probably silly question)

Technically yes, but it's right there about a mile or two west of A1A. 520 intersects A1A where Ron Jons surf shop is.

I've read about the Cocoa Beach Pier - any thoughts on that? Worth visiting?

Taco City is worth the drive. We love the place! My brother lives in
Merritt Island and it is his favorite!
