Let's do a favorite cocktail thread! What is your favorite cocktail in WDW & where can you get one?? I'd like to treat myself to a couple on my trip, so where & what are the must haves??? I know my favorite margarita is found poolside @ the Yacht Club Resort.party:

The best Pina colada's I've had are poolside at Yacht club (especially with the extra shot of rum) Oh, yeah, AKL pool bar also.

The Mississippi Mudslide from the River Roost Lounge at Port Orleans Riverside. It's a mix of Bailey's, Chambord, and Chocolate and it's served kind of frozen and slushy. If you're there on the right night you can enjoy your drink and a great show. "Ye Haa" Bob Jackson plays in the lounge on Wed - Sat nights.

Great thread - I'm eager to hear what others enjoy.

1. Pineapple margarita at La Cava del Tequila
2. Martini at bluezoo
3. Picnic punch at 50s PTC

:drinking1

So many to choose but I'll narrow down to my three faves (all at epcot)

1. Fiesta Margarita from Mexico Pavillion
2. Spaten (with pretzel of course) from Germany Pavillion
3. Pommery Champagne from France Pavillion

:cool1:

Unfortunately Spaten is no more at WDW.

"Cocktail time" invoked scary images of Sandra Lee in my head. Egad. :scared1:

Ok, the drink menus are fairly homogenous at the different lounges. I won't order a blue electric ice cube drink out of stubborness. But some lounges will have their own specialties. It never hurts to ask what they serve that isn't in the generic drink menu.

During the holidays, the Crew's Cup Lounge served a frothy little drink called Santa's Little Helper. I don't remember what went into it, but it had Goldschlager in it.

During other times of the year, my go-to place is La Cava del Tequila. There are a variety of margaritas that I like.

We have three...not in any order.

1. the Mississippi Mudslide from the River Roost or Tambu Lounge

2. the Mimoso....DW usually has it at breakfast. (hope i spelled it right)

3. the Lapu Lapu at the Tambu Lounge. its always a favorite.

That Santa's Little Helper was quite tasty (gingerbread?).
I would never buy a drink with those cube things because the cube thing reduces the size of your drink!

OK! You just cracked me up Tommie! Jason and I say the same thing! :thumbsup2

1. Pina colava...available at many of the restaurants.

2. Grey Goose Slushie in Epcot.

3. Bloody Mary at Crew's Cup Lounge...not many people know about this place and it's a gem, hidden away!

My favs are the pineapple mojito at the Tambu Lounge at the Poly

Also the Avocado Margartia at inside the Mexico Pavillion

True Sandra Lee-style cocktail time involves carrying a bottle of vodka around with you and adding several massive glugs to everything you drink, including water.

My favorite cocktail at WDW used to be the Green Hornet at Coronado Springs bar. But since they have changed management, I don't know if this is available any more. We have fond memories of eating salsa and chips, drinking Green Hornets and watching the Olympics on the big screen in the bar. ;)

Another vote for the Lapu Lapu! Yes they are strong (one of the reasons I enjoy them so much) and when I order one and drink it sitting at the bar at Ohana I feel like I'm stepping back in time to the 50's or 60's. Love it!

It was sort of like an ice cream drink, with the cinnamon coming through.

Ok, the glow cube volume displacement is an issue, Tommie and Chelsi. Bwahahaha!

I think I found another person to hang with us at Epcot. :rotfl2:

The Victoria Falls Lounge at the Animal Kingdom Lodge used to serve a ginger mojito that was pretty freaking delicious. It was a traditional mojito base, but with a ginger liqueur instead of simple syrup and ginger beer instead of seltzer. So gingery and so refreshing.

Unfortunately, they no longer carry either of those ingredients that made the mojito gingerized, so you can't even request that they make it for you despite its absence from the menu. It's a shame, because that was one of the best cocktails I've ever had.
