Cocktail on the Magic

My husband and I were on the Magic in June. We went to the bourbon tasting and loved it! We had a cocktail made with bourbon, malbec, sweet and sour with a bourbon smoked sugar rim. Of course, I took a photo of the ingredients but not the recipe. It was so good. The smoked sugar rim was amazing.
Any suggestions for obtaining this? I have googled it and it sounds like a New York Sour with an added rim.
