Does anyone know if you can get "Mexican coke" in Mexico in Epcot? I know about the taste thing in future world, but I was wondering if maybe you can get this version of coke in Mexico? Thanks in advance.

P.S. For those who have never had it, "Mexican Coke" is the same coke as the US, only with pure sugar instead of corn syrup.

Don't know about Epcot but here in Knoxville, TN you can get "Mexican Coke" in the international foods section at Kroger. DH just asked me today why there were Coke bottles near the Mexican foods.

I've never seen it there. The only food/drink things I've seen there were at the actual restaurants and I'd have to imagine their pop is coming out of a typical machine (syrup plus soda...like what's at the counter service self serve places). I don't know where in NY you are (well I saw the town name but I have no idea where that is...) if you have a Wegmans by you, they sell it in the internation section. I think it's $1.50 a bottle or like $26.99 a case. We sell out of it all the time.

Sorry for the double post and making the second one off topic, but I've also seen MezzoMix lately at my Wegmans.

Not sure how close to Canada you are (we were only about an hour from NY state where we used to live), but I'm pretty sure our Coke uses cane sugar as well. Or maybe I'm thinking of Pepsi...

Nvm, just checked. Not sure about Pepsi anymore since I don't have any, but Coke is indeed Sugar/Glucose-Fructose (G-F being another name for Corn Syrup).

Thanks for the replies, I recently went to a local grocery store (Price Chopper) and they had it for sale. I tried it and liked it way better than regular, and it made me wonder if they carried it in "Mexico" in Epcot. Oh and thanks for the Wegmans tips, when I visit Binghamton, NY I can look there for some as well. Thanks all.

You're right, it tastes totally different. There's definitely a big market for it, at least at my Wegmans (I work there, and I can see the aisle its in from my department), I see people grabbing it all the time and we get asked pretty often if we have any more of the big cases in stock. Sometimes you can even find it up by the cafe in the store in their coolers, but not every store does it. You should be able to find it in the internation section, and it'll be by the Spanish/Mexican stuff, but not necessarily by the Goya product. You can even call the store ahead of time and ask for either the international department or the grocery department and they'll be able to tell you where it is, or put some aside for you if you want.

I visit the Binghamton, NY Wegman's on a weekly basis (I was there yesterday), I am going to have to look for the MezzoMix!

I live in Oregon, and they sell it in glass bottles by the case at Costco here.

My local Sam's Club carries it by the case. I get one occasionally. It does taste different and I prefer it.

I only saw the Mezzomix for the first time like 3 weeks ago here in Buffalo. I literally was trucking through that aisle on my way home and took like 5 steps past it, froze and backtracked. I'll try to remember to take a pic. Just keep in mind that not all Wegmans carry the same product, it can be based on product movement and popularity and space for it, so if its not there please don't be disappointed! Don't shoot the messenger!!:scared1::lmao:

I was just going to tell you to head over to Price Chopper to get some! :) We got some there last month, I just wish it wasn't so expensive, and sold in 6 or 12-packs, instead of by the bottle!

I really think the Mexican coke tastes like frozen cokes at the movies and Burger King - which I love!

Our Price Choppers don't carry it - but The Fresh Market does.

I'm a little confused at which you're looking for (we live on the border and have had Coke in both Mexico and here). Mexican Coke, the stuff that's sweeter, in bottles, and in Mexican resturants (I mean the ones in Mexico) it's less carbonated, isn't at the Mexican CS in Epcot. But if you mean the Manzanita, that's the Mexican sample at Club Cool, the Coca Cola place, the apple flavored soda, yes they have it at the CS place, but it's a different brand name. It's the same as Manzanita, but called something else there, the girl told me. And it's not only delicious, I highly recommend it if you have an upset tummy.

You're right, it tastes totally different.

It tastes like what Coke used to taste like, before the "New Coke" nonsense. When they went to "Classic" later on, they'd switched to HFCS from the cane sugar. (it's helpful having a Coke fan, who keeps old cans, as a friend!)

When I first had it, I had to sit down b/c of the strong flashback I had to middle school when I would sneak Coke at school... It's amazing how powerful smells and tastes are.

Pepsi did a retro thing this year for a short time using the original recipe. Though it was a trip to my youth flavor-wise, the sugar reacted badly in me.

Dr. Pepper is big thing in our region. There's a cane sugar version made in Dublin, Texas referred to as "Dublin Dr. Pepper". I have a friend currently living in Iowa that carries cases and cases back every time she comes down for a visit.
