Cobb Salad: To Go?

Since Starring Rolls no longer has Cobb Salad on their counter service menu, would the Brown Derby allow me to get one "to go" if ordered at the podium inside the restaurant? Thank you!

We ordered the Cobb Salad and a slice of grapefruit cake to go @ Brown Derby. DH and I shared it was a great lunch and we sat outside of the Starring Rolls.

When I was there in November I asked if I could get a cobb salad to go and they told me no. And I really wanted one. I'm going to have to try again this year to see if I can get one or not. Nice to know that someone else has gotten one before!!!

Thanks for the responses - guess I'll take a chance at the podium for a takeout Cobb Salad - if it's a no, oh well!

Just returned from WDW Jan 30th and the BD would not allow to go meals. When I questioned them they said it was because people were hauling their leftovers or meals all day in the parks then ate them and got sick. Who in the world eats unrefridgerated food after being out in the heat all day?

It sounds to me like they just don't do take outs. I can't imagine they can deny you your leftovers if you eat at their restaurant and want to take your uneaten food back to your resort. If this is indeed their policy they will be giving me a credit for any uneaten food I am forced to leave behind.

Maybe the reason the Brown Derby doesn't allow "take-out" Cobb Salad, is that if you really want it, you'll make the ADR and have a sit-down meal inside (and spend even more money - like on the Grapefruit Cake!) So, yes, I guess I'll just make an ADR and eat inside....
