We just saved a date for the adults only 'Coasting the Golden State' tour. :woohoo:

Anyone else going on this tour?

Will you be adding on a night or two at Disneyland?

I'm getting a little worried because I haven't heard anyone mention an interest in it yet.... :(

My DH and I are going on the trip that begins June 8th, adding a day in San Francisco since we will be travelling across country. My DH picked this trip. We are also going to do the Backstage Magic that begins December 2, celebrating my birthday.

DH and I are coming from GA, so we're traveling across the country, too. We saved a date for the Aug. 30th tour. We're thinking of adding on a day at Disneyland. pixiedust:
I know it's still an awfully long time away, but please consider writing a trip report or giving a general overview of your experiences. I'd love to hear about it! :goodvibes

Thanks!

I booked the trip 3 weeks ago... I'm very excited about it even though its a year away.

Violeo, :welcome:

I'm really looking forward to it, too. :yay: My DH thinks I'm nuts for getting this excited about the trip this soon, but I just can't help it!

Violeo, are you also going on the Aug. 30th tour or on a different date?

Happy planning to everyone. The anticipation is half the fun!

:hourglass

i'm actually very excited about the trip. We're going on the adults only trip on Aug 30th as well. Im a big disney fan... and ive been to san fran before as well and loved it. Little less then a year to go!:goodvibes
im assuming DH stands for Disney Husband? im new to this site

Actually it's "dear" husband, but "Disney" husband works quite well, too, especially on this site. He puts up with all our trips to Disneyworld, although I'm pretty sure he would probably like to go elsewhere once in a while.

I've never been to San Francisco, so I'm really looking forward to it. It's nice to hear from someone else that will be on the same tour. :thumbsup2

Thanks for responding! :flower3:

Chris

chris,
did you book your flights wth disney? i'm waiting till the end of this month before i call disney to see what they offer. my understanding is that adventures by disney does not sale discount air fare as they do with there cruises.

Marco:cool2: :cool2:

I haven't booked any flights yet, but I was considering letting Disney handle it. I'm going to do a little research to get prices and if the ones from Disney are in the general ballpark, I'll probably go with them.... :confused3

I've gotten the initial 'save the date' confirmation, but I haven't gotten the "you have to respond in 14 days" quotes yet, have you? I think we probably reserved our date close to the same time.

Please let me know, if you find out anything about the flights. I'd be very curious. We'll be flying out of Atlanta....

Chris :goodvibes

I just booked my flights for Southwest Splendors with ABD for next year. Their price was the same as the ones I found with Travelocity and Expedia. The reason I had them do the booking even though the price was the same is so it would be covered with ABD's trip insurance in case something should happen.
I also inquired about the 14 day letter. They said no such letter was going out. If we were not going to go on our trip, we were supposed to send a letter within 14 days cancelling the trip. This was not the way I understood it. Like you, I thought they were sending me something. But since we do not intend to cancel, I suppose it is no matter.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info on the flights. I hope their prices will be comparable on our trip too...

The information about the letter is very interesting, since I haven't even gotten the quote yet. It's completely contradictory to what I was told when I saved my date.

I'm on the phone with ABD as I type. She said that letters will be mailed out to those of us that booked in August in the next few days. They were waiting until the brochures were ready for mailing before they sent out the letters. If you booked after the prices were available, you had to confirm 14 days from when you booked to confirm. Hope this helps everyone out!

Thanks for letting us know...that explains it. I booked before the prices came out.

Hola!pirate:

Chris, I just got my ABD folder today...im gonna go through it tonight and fill out the paperwork. Im actually going to be flying out of Asheville or Charlotte NC...so we're not to far from each other.

Marco

Hi Marco! :sail:

Now I'm jealous!! I've been checking my mailbox a couple of times a day and nothing so far. Hopefully I'll get my packet soon. Any surprises in the paperwork?

Kinda neat that you guys are so (relatively) close.

Chris :flower1:

I am so confused. :confused3 I thought you had 14 days to CANCEL (without losing your deposit) from the date you booked. I booked after prices came out. I have certainly not called to say "yes I confirm that I'm going", although I have called a few times to ask questions about things, like where is the letter? so, I would assume that they know I did not want to cancel.

Could someone who's received their package please clarify? Is there something that we have to sign and return? Why don't they seem to know what's going on? I'll be happy when I get that package.

I can only give my experience....I called and paid for my trip on the month of July. I received a package by ABD sometime early July; however I was on vacation at the time so I didn’t receive it the day it arrived. When I opened the package there was a folder with papers that I needed to sign and fax or mail back along with info regarding our trip. The papers clearly stated that if I didn’t fax or mail back the papers sign within 14 days of the date they mailed the package (it was mailed by UPS) they would consider that as me canceling my trip. I called Disney and explained that I was on vacation so I needed a few extra days to go over the paper work and sign and mail my portion. The representative stated that she would notate my account and that they would not cancel my trip. I hope this helps you
