Coaster Scare at Cedar Point

It's only happened once before.....and it happened again this past Saturday afternoon.

Sometimes when the weather conditions are just right, and the weight distribution is good enough (good enough! ) the train will get stuck at the top of Top Thrill Dragster!


Even I cant imagine this! They would need to give me some sort of lifetime pass to calm my nerves!

And yes, some maintenance guy has to take an elevator to the top of the ride to push them over the crest!

These incidents are a little different than what happened on dragster though. Those were e-stops; dragster just balanced and did not e-stop (well until the ride crew e-stopped the ride for maintenance)

I got a "rollback" once, and yes they re-launch you without a wait!

By all means, please sip your beer. We'll be on the rides. I'll save people watching for the mall. However, I am sure we can reach a compromise and have a drink and people watch while we wait in line...

I am up for that! I will wait in line with you but I will not be going on the ride. As for people watching at the mall...well I dont do malls.

O-M-G........I am way too chicken to get on a ride like that in the first place, but if I did and that happened, i would be on valium the rest of my life.......

and the guy with the job to go up and push, .......no enough money in the world for me to do that job.........LOL

can you tell I am petrified of heights. I almost had a meltdown the 10 times my kids forced me onto TOT!!!

Hiya mousefanMI! I hear ya! Season passes with early park entry and extended ride time...still no roll back. I guess its just one more reason to keep going on it.

npmommie- Its not even that bad. It will have take you longer to read this post than to go from the "starting line" to the "finish line". (From 14 to 17 seconds depending on coaster train positioning.) You could probably hold your breath. But why do that?? Its way more fun to scream!!!!!!! I am petrified of heights, (more accurately uncontrolably falling from them) but I think I would love to be the guy to go give the train a push. Woo Whoo!!!!

OMG.. first since I am a ride sissy, I would never be on that.. but if I did get on it for some bizarre reason, I would have died of a heart attack up there... heights, no can do.
