Co-Worker issues

If it is a job where you do not have to be answering phones all of the day, see if work will let you bring in an ipod.

Come in every morning, make a point of being friendly to those around you, then put the ipod on and get to work. Same at break times, take off the headphones and have a 10 min chat.

then head phones back on, and on to work. If necessary explain to the boss how you are more efficient when there are no distractions etc. You are not being snobby, and closed off from the group but it means you cannot get involved in the gossip.

Half a chance the boss knows the personalities of the group, and for all you know there might have been some issue with the previous person doing your job.

Ugh! She probably decided you hate her cause you aren't playing any of her reindeer games. I say stay away from the crazies.

I know someone like this. If you don't giver her your 100%, butt-kissing attention, she goes on to tell people how rude you are to her
