CMs in the Disney Store..

I just got back from the Disney store (getting my monthly installment of Disney $) I just have to comment on the niceness of the CMs that are in the disney STORE! this is the conversation i had.....just had to share...

Me: Hi, can i exchange this 20 for four 5 dollar bills? (disney dollars)

CM: Sure...can i assume you are going to disney?

Me: yes, in august, we are staying at the polynesian

CM: have you heard about the fairytale package?

Me: yes, but its too late

CM: i wouldnt be so sure...why dont you call back....how are you flying there?

Me: dont know yet

CM: i suggest you fly jet blue

(by this time i had gotten my Disney $)

CM: bye, and when you come back...bring pictures!!

Me; I'll be sure to


Hehe, that whole experience just gave me a warm feeling! I wouldnt expect that of a CM in a DISNEY STORE!!! Just had to share and maybe brighten your day!!!

My wife is cast memeber and she loves it. But now Disney may sell the stores. This would be a mistake. She and most only work in the store because it is Disney. If they change and leave the name, people will not be treated the same because then it will be just people working there to make money not for the atmosphere and the magic.

I love our local Disney Store, and it's because of the CM's. They're wonderful!! Every time I go in there (and I was just there last night) I get in a great conversation with the CM's.

If Disney does decide to sell the stores (and I understand that it's a financial decision) I'm afraid that those fantastic CM's will no longer be there. It's very sad.

Maybe its just me and the way that I percieve things, Would'nt you all expect that you would get the same service at the Disney Store as you would at Disney World? Even though they are the same company and things and may have a different standard then Disney World. Everyone knows Disney as a friendly place. That comment was very nice from the Cast Member but if you work for the #1 company for customer service dont you think that would hold true for a company for the barring same name but in a different location rather than Florida or California or other Disney Theme parks?
Just my way of thinking!!
