I have talked to several CM's from the regular Disney reservations numbers and the Disney dining number and the only thing they know about the dining plan is what they read in the brochure which is available on the Disney website and does not give nearly enough information. Many, including every CM I talked to from the Disney Dining number, don't even know that there is a deluxe plan. I had 2 CM's insist that I can't get an appetizer with the plan. I explained that i can with the deluxe but they never heard of this plan. Now Disney wants me to shell out $1000+ for my family of 4 for the deluxe plan but their CM's can't answer my simple questions. 
If it wasn't for the DISboards than I would not book the plan over frustration of not receiving the information I need to make an educated decision. Now we are big time foodies and love to eat at fine dining establishments. I made reservations for 4 Disney fine dining restaurants, 1 dinner show, and some other sit-downs. I haven't purchased the plan just yet but plan to. Can anyone answer this one important question that know Disney CM that I have talked to has been able to answer with confidence? Are there any restrictions or surcharges to any of the items on the menus when on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan? My husband is always very critical about these types of plans and insists that there is always some type of restrictions or surcharges. But all the CM's I talked to say that they don't believe there is. I remember reading on these boards that there are surcharges at Wolf Gang Pucks but I don't plan on eating there this time anyway. Sorry for the long rant!
