Ok..... so this is totally of topic... but I need some opinions. I'm handing in my admission application today to nursing school. I had to write an essay why I selected nursing as a career, how my strengths will help in school, how I will overcome obstacles, etc... well what I'm trying to decide is if I should title the essay or not. And if I should..... I couldn't really think of a snazzy title.

I think if you have a solid title in mind, you should use it. If not, I don't think the essay will look out of place without one.

Good luck by the way!

Okay I love Kenny's Mickey Snowman, Disgeeks Surgeon general warnings and Eric's Pity party. So funny. And HMF I have no idea for a title, sorry- but that is great that you will be one step closer to your "dream job." (even if it's not the CMO job!) Nurses are in high demand right now!

So where are the rest of the top ten? I thought some might discover this thread when they were scouring the internet trying to figure out how to get votes. I hope you guys are wearing buttons and t-shirts wherever you go so if anyone asks you can share the excitement! CMO blogs coming soon? I know Tripp has a nice one set up- I guess the rest of you are spending morning noon and night working on all this kind of stuff. Good Luck!

Oh yeah I wanted to ask- Did they provide anymore information to you guys about exactly what you would be doing once you win CMO? I know you will make appearances at events, but after that it was a little vague (just basically bringing cheer and helping make dreams come true). Do you get to help give away dream squad type prizes and stuff?

Thanks fleagle! That is what I was thinking, if I can think of something really catchy then use it.... but if not, it would be ok without one.

I honestly am undecided as to who to support in the CMO and I'd like the candidates to provide one sentence telling us why anyone should vote for them.

When I ran for pirate it was to me about interacting with the kids on the island and bringing smiles to their faces. I'll always remember the final autograph being the first autograph for a child. I though about how that kid would remember that pirate for years to come.

What about you? Why do you want to be CMO?

*stepping on political soap box* (Wow! I'm about 7and 1/2 feet tall now... I can see my house)

*clearing throat*

If you take a look at my qualifications: Passion For Disney, Knowledge of The Parks, Great Customer Service Provider, Always Putting Others Before Me, Personal Happiness and Fulfillment Comes From Making Others Happy, Love Working With Children of All Ages (We're all big kids at heart, right?), Outgoing Personality, Friendly, Easy To Talk To, and Fun To Be Around, you will see why I should be your CMO. As far as why I want to be CMO? I would love the opportunity to continue to spread my love and passion for Disney in a unique and much larger capacity.

I know this is supposed to only be a sentence but it's so hard to narrow it down. Like Kenny, I have seen first hand how a childs face lights up when they meet their favorite character, or are asked to be in the Pirate Tutorial with Cap'n Jack, or find the key under the mat at Muppet Vision. I have seen the excitement in mom, dad, and kids in the bus line at All-Star Music while they prepare to walk into the Magic Kingdom for the very first time. It's that excitement that I want to carry with me and share with everyone as YOUR CMO!

Thank you so much for your support!

*stepping down from political soap box* (I can still see my house... how tall am I?)

I would title it: "I want to get a job as a nurse because I need to pay for all my SPONSOR vacations!"

I've not seen Tangela or Jennifer online ever.

THE DONALD finally arrived after a tough flight in last night due to a freak March snowstorm in Southern Okieland. He looks a bit haggard, due to a temperature climb today of 20 degrees (I'm melting, I'm melting!)

An important message from THE DONALD:
Wack, wack, wack, wa, wa, wack, wa, wack-wack, wa-wa-wa.
Translation: I'm very saddened that I've served THE SPONSORS faithfully for so many years and I've been left out in the cold when it comes to the CMO position. Don't worry, you've not heard the last of this duck! I may even join KTP's campaign for Barhillabamacain!

Here's a few photos from today's presser:

Thanks for the blog props!!! There is so much I want to do, but I am running low on time. And we are leaving for Disney World on Friday (with an over night stop in Savannah to pick up mom).

To my knowledge, the CMO will be in California for at least 2 required press events this year, one being the Grand Opening of Toy Story Mania. They will also be invited to speak at the CareerBuilders.com annual meeting in Chicago the first week of January to share their Dream Job experience. There are also a few more required trips to California in 2009, and a handful of optional trips to Disney World that the CMO will be invited to take this and next year. I have all of the dates written down at home.

The small print:

Of course all dates are subject to change. Tax, tag, and title with approved credit. Batteries not included. One size fits all. Do Not Pass Go. We'll leave the light on for you.

MMmmmmmmmmmm...

It looks like a giant Donald Snow Cone. Did I tell you I was on a diet?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Great job Kenny!

Hey if the winner doesn't want to take the "optional trips" how about they send me instead!

Thanks guys!
He started melting so fast that my idea of painting him was becoming a mess quickly, so I had to just take the photos before I was totally finished. His hat was becoming his head and and his shirt was becoming pants (which we all know Donald doesn't have an affinity towards!) I couldn't get more snow either.

There was actually a second phone call about 10 days ago to go over dates and eligibility. When I saw the 407 area code on the phone, I thought it might be "the call." But... alas, it was just someone setting up a phone appointment for yet another call later in the day.

One of the reasons I had my hopes up a little is that nobody else mentioned the extra call on the message boards. But everyone else was probably thinking what I was thinking: Why would they call all 20 people when they certainly have it narrowed down a bit? I was hoping it was just a crossing of the T's before I got my package in the mail! (I don't want to spoil the ending for you... but I was wrong!) I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want anyone else to be disappointed if they didn't get the same call. Who knows, the rules allowed for a "tiebreaking call." So maybe I was tied and I lost. (I think its more likely that they called everyone... maybe you other folks who got cut can shed more light.)

Anyway... they listed LOTS of dates on the call. Four probable dates and then at least 8 other ones that were "optional." Bear in mind... these will be both the option of the CMO AND of Disney. She mentioned that they were only required to employ the CMO for ONE DAY. I'm sure that's just a legal protection... but they could have the CMO at the parks for a day and then say... "thanks for coming, buh bye!"

Another fun fact... the person who called was a former Disney Ambassador. (and very, very, very nice)

Tripp -- keep your posts coming! You are really starting to come out of your shell and I love it! Your sense of humor is warm and engaging -- I want more!

Fleagle -- thanks for the update on the phone call...will be interesting to see if others were called or not...I wonder if you were <snap> this close to being Top 10 and then 'something' got in the way...I have my speculations on that but as DISGeeks said -- fly on the wall would have been awesome.

HMF -- I think a title would add a creative and organized element to your essay. Just go through your writing and then try to resay the most important point in less than 6 words...what would it be? or what is the number one reason (besides paying for Disney vaca) you want to be a nurse?

Kenny -- love the Donald!

DisGeeks/Kenny -- everytime I see one of your posts with your avatar, it makes me laugh and smile!

Catatigger -- how about "Cat Moving Onward!" (or did you use that one already?)

Ok, think I am caught up...need to work on letter "A" today!

Pretty impressive, Kenny! (So, do neighbors slow down their cars when they drive past your place? Do they stop to take pictures of/with your latest snow creation?)

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:

DAD OF THE YEAR AWARD

KENNY THE PIRATE

Thanks Marshay! I just took a creative writing class at the Y last week... oh wait... my blackberry is buzzing...

*checking messages*

Oh wow! I just got my first Dream CMO assignment of the week. I better go work on that. Hey Kenny! Did you have to do these last year? Is this where Ricky got his great questions and senarios from? These questions look like fun. I hope I can keep it to 75 words or less.

Be back later!

One day! Oh wouldn't that be rotten! But I doubt that would happen. Yeah I was just thinking about all of that after Ricky's podcast, I was wondering how much the CMO would really get to do and what kind of dreams they would get to help come true, I think giving away the castle for a night would be pretty amazing! Thanks for the updates guys. And Kenny the Donald snowman is priceless...I hope you use these Disney snowmen as your family's Christmas cards!
