CM wouldn't let me request fridge in my room at WL

Does anyone know if there are refrigerators in all the rooms at Wilderness Lodge? I thought I had read somewhere on these boards that all Mods and Deluxes would now have refrigerators in the rooms. But I have also read that this is not always the case, you may have to ask and they may not be available. DD has to take shots everyday and the medicine needs to be refrigerated, so this is a must in the room for us. Anyone been to WL lately who could let me know? I called CRO to request it and told CM it was for med. purposes. She said all rooms have refrigerators. I told her I had heard otherwise and to please just put my request on my reservation, but she would not.

I wouldn't really worry about it. We needed one for medication (and had requested it), but when we got to our room there was no 'fridge! I had to call the front desk, but they did have one in our room within 10-15 minutes.

Yes, don't worry. If there isn't a fridge in the room when you get there, a quick call to the front desk will have one to you in no time.

There are supposed to be fridges in every room but if not just call down and they will bring one to you.

I was there in sept 2004 and there was a fridge in my room
the CM who checked us in told us they were putting them in all rooms
it was great for waters, snacks, my medication, stuff like that and it was free

I am one of those who mentioned not having a fridge at WL during our stay in February. One did eventually show up but bell services did have to hold onto our refrigerated groceries for a couple days. I am hoping (we're staying there again in May and my younger DS's meds also need refrigeration) that they have finished putting in all the fridges since I haven't heard anything about it recently. IF you check in and there is no fridge, I would be an incredibly squeaky wheel! The fact that you need it for meds should make you a higher priority. Good luck ... and I wouldn't stress about it too much!

There was not one in our room in February. I called to request one as was told that they were out and I could be put on a waiting list to receive one the next day. I agreed, we went to see Fantasmic, and when we got back there was one in our room. If I were you I would call back and talk to someone else. Considering that you need it for medical reasons, I would want to be absolutely sure there was one available.

I would call the front desk of WL directly a couple days before you arrive.

I would also call the resort directly and put the request in. Many people have said that there are now fridges in all the rooms mod/deluxe but shortly after I made my Poly ressies for this May I called back to ask about a fridge and the CM I spoke to said "you don't currently have the request on your ressie so if you want one we better add it to your ressie" so that said I would go ahead and put in the call just to be sure.

They're supposed to be included, however, as of my stay last month the WL did not have them in every room and did not have enough for every room.

I requested one for our stay in October and asked what the extra charge was. The CM assured me that by that time all deluxe rooms would have a refridgerator in them. This was supposed to be done at the beggining of the year but the hurricane put them behind.

We were at the WL two weeks ago and there was no fridge at check-in, but we called housekeeping and they brought one up right away. I wouldn't worry.

We were at WL in January and no frig in our room. We requested one and it came the same day. BTW: We were at BW in December and also no frig in the room, we also requested it and it came right away.

Here's what you REALLY need to do.

Call CRO and get the number for special services.

Call them and explain the need for an in-room fridge for medication.

They will GUARANTEE that you get the fridge you need.

The RESORT will not be able to override any arrangements made through special services, and they will be forced to set one aside for you.
