Just thought Id chime in and ask if either you or wishspirit are doing the CP. Im 19 also (woohoo) and will be going for a CP in the Fall. It would be so cool to see other disers especially international ones there!

This book was so cool. i hope that they still put a good amount of effort into traditions when I go. Can you believe that that book is almost 20 years old! :scared1: BUt at least its not older than me! I dont feel too young atleast.

Wow we've got quite a little clique of 19 year olds! :goodvibes

I wont be doing CP for a while, cause i really can't spend a summer not working. (I earn a lot more staying in the UK)

However i am taking a gap year, and plan to do the International Programme then (if Corey ever gets round to doing that segement *COUGH COUGH*)

But i certianly want to work there! It is my goal to get me through Uni atm!

I just had Traditions on Wednesday (it was sooooooooooo boring) and the current book looks nothing like that. No fun pictures or anything! Actually, we didn't even get a book called "traditions", just a "program guide" and a couple of handouts. Most everything was via movies:confused3

it's so cool hearing of other 19eners on the DIS, I don't know I was thinking about it, this fall I can't do CP but I think next year could be awesome

Very interesting! I have to come back later when I can read the whole thing. Thanks for posting it!

:sunny:

Holy cow! Looking at all this is really a blast from the past! Thanks for posting your Traditions stuff...I enjoyed the trip down memory lane! :thumbsup2

I'm thrilled everyone is enjoying the book. It makes me almost want to go back and work there - although I have become accustomed to a slightly higher salary than I earned during my Resort Merchandise Hostess days. :rotfl2:

WOW!

Its this kind of stuff that makes me wanna work for the mouse (although would of been helpful for my Disney essay i gave in last week! ;))

Sorry I didn't find it earlier to help with your essay - which by the way is very good. I'm in the process of moving and my house is in shambles so I just couldn't remember where I had seen it last.

I'm a little worried that this is something that Disney has no desire to see posted on the Internet...

I don't think there should be a problem with posting it. It doesn't really say anything that Disney doesn't tout on their own.

I love the term "security host!"

Did you see the spats on the Security Host on Page 7? Haven't seen that is a long time. :)

Hey!! No making me feel old with your almost 20 years old comment!!! :rotfl2:

Good luck to your son in the CP.

That's sad they make it so boring. I remember having a wonderful time and enjoying myself. Although I do remember thinking the pictures in the book were outdated even then - but they are fun to see now. Good luck in the CP.

I also found a little quiz that we took during Traditions. (But don't try to win any trivia contests based on this information - some of the information is outdated since this was 1989.)

Hilarious! I love looking at all of the old costumes. They remind me of when I was a kid going to Disney World.

As for "Every Person Comes Out Tired," I remember a WDW bus driver telling us that joke back in the late '80's--early '90's. I guess he paid attention during his Traditions training! :)

Thanks for sharing that very cool!!! Love your little test. Too funny.

Oh, I'm quite certain Disney doesn't want it posted up there.

But that's between the DISBoards and Disney Legal, I presume.
