Hi everyone. I am new to digital scrapbooking and I am looking into purchasing software. I have read on these boards that CM Storybook and Panstoria are the same software. Is this true? If so, is there any benefit to paying about $30 more for the CM software? I want as much flexibility as possible when it comes to downloading and using new content. Any information or advice is greatly appreciated!:thanks:

Have experience with CM Storybook Plus but have not heard of Panstoria.

CM digi-content can only be used in SBC+, otherwise the programs are materially identical (Panstoria is the developer of SBC+).

So if you aren't interested in CM's digi-content, then Artisan by Panstoria is the cheaper option ... plus you can install their software on two computers (keep your digi-content on an XHD). SBC+ can only be installed on a single computer.

Can you use SBC+ on a Mac or just on a PC? I thought that they were coming out with SBC+ for the Mac but it seems like it may have been cancelled. I'd like to get into digital scrapbooking but I want to do it on a Mac.

CM did offer a version for the Mac, but there were issues with it, then the developer (not Panstoria) wasn't available to continue to develop it, so CM gave the users CM credit as they couldn't find another developer.

I think Mac users use photoshop to scrap. But I could be wrong. If I was starting today, I'd get Artisan. You get licenses for two computers with the software. CM only gives you one license for more money. :scared1:
