CM Questions --- Mickey's Retreat?

I am visint my dad this weekend and he asked me if I wanted to go to Mickey's Retreat b/c they are having a big sale --- He said he could take me b/c of his Main Gate Pass or something --

Can someone tell me if it is worth it to go to the Retreat? and what it is? We have only three days at the park - so I want to make sure it is worth driving away from the property to go there.

If Mickey's Retreat is having a sale, you might be interested in stopping buy. They have discontinued Disney merchandise for up to 75% off. They have a lot of nice stuff usually. But, if you Dad works for Disney you can always go to Property Control or Cast Connection anytime of year to find great deals.
All Mickey's Retreat is is an area for CM to hang out, like a park. They have a lake and swimming pools, and a small banquet space. It's nothing special unless they are having an event, which they are - on October 30th. They will have a DJ, carnival games, characters, food, a costume parade, shopping etc...

I appreciate the answer --- My dad said they are having a sale this weekend too - Sat --- up to 75% off -- So maybe we will head over there for a few then head back to the parks.

He has also mentioned Company D for shopping too So sounds like he has found all the cool shopping places after finally working there for a few years
