just needed to throw ot the question, for those if you that are or have been a Creative Memories consultant, what can you tell me about your personal experience with this P/T job? Is the investement of time and money promising
or do you have certain unattainable sales numbers to be met?

Have a friend trying to recruit me, but I just don't know enough about CM to become committed...
Any advice, opinions would be appreciated.
Kathy

I just became a CMC in Feb. and I love it. I've had 5 parties and one crop so far. Every time I place an order I order stuff to build an inventory up, so I'm still in the red but not to bad, my husband is surprised how will it is going so far. CM has a great incentive programs I just received a beautiful bracelet for reaching a goal they set for me in the month of March. The only thing asked is you place a $500 order with in the first 30 days (I think it was 30 days) and you have to place a $500 order every 3 months after that. It's so exciting to see all the new products every month. I've always been a big CM fan and have used their product for over 7 years before becoming a CMC. I'm really enjoying it. If you do sign up I wish you the best. Nancy

Another thing they made easier, is the $500 you need every 3 months is cummulative. You don't have to place it in just one month, you can spread it out. That helps a lot too.
I have been doing this for a year now and love it. I love getting the new things first  and I love sharing the message of how important it is to preserve your pics and helping people do that. :grouphug:
If you decide to do it, go for the 30,60,90 too! You get so many incentives and the rolling cart is great! :cool1:

I love it too! ALthough it's nice to have an inventory, it's not necessary right away. The starter kit really has enough to get you going. From there you can decide how much you want (although it is hard not to buy everything). WHen you start to get an inventory, start with the basics: tape runners, pages and maybe trimmers (maybe concentrate on what's in an Album Makers Collection). Enough so that people can get going. The shipping time has never been more than 8 days for me and you can always trade with other consultants if you need something right away. My friend was after me for a good couple years before I decided to take the leap. I've been in almost a year now and having a lot of fun. I do encourage doing the 30, 60, 90 too. Before you sign the contract, I would make sure I had 3 to 5 shows lined up to really help you get started. That will make the 30, 60, 90 much easier and give you a GREAT start to your business. Good luck with your decision!

I enjoy it very much. I do it mostly to get my stuff at cost and to sell to my friends and whatnot.

I like it so much better now that they spread out the qualifiying orders.

It works great for me!! If I am going to scrap, I might as well get a discount... :)

Do they have a catalog or somewhere online tha tI could see their products? :confused3

You can go to www.creativememories.com, they have all their products on their website. If you search for a consultant in your area and then visit their website you'll find the pricing there.

Please tell me more about the 30,60,90 plan. I looked it up on the CM website, but it isn't very helpful. The Memory Mate cart does look inticing -- what is needed for that?
From what I have read on above posts, you would need to sell $500 in your first 30 days and then another $500 in the next 3 months totaling $1000 in 4 months? That seems very high for someone just starting out. Are there any tips you guys have to reach that? Also, what is included in the starter kit? Would I need to purchase additional supplies the first few months or would that be sufficient? Thanks so much!

I love being a CMC!! One word of advise, only keep in stock what you would use yourself if you stopped being a consultant. Obviously if you create a booming business you can branch out! But it if things don't go as planned, you wont be stuck with things you cannot use yourself! I have tons on page protectors, refills, tape runners/refills, paper and albums! I have been a CMC for a year and a half, basically to friends. Good luck!

I am just celebrating my 5 year anniversary as a CMC and I rarely have any parties. I mostly sell via catalogs and friends and of course my personal "Stuff". CM has such a great reputation, it really sells itself. I know I am not the traditional sales person for CM, but you can make as much or as little as you need. and now that they have changed the quarterly quota to cummilative, it is great I order a case of tape runners and some paper one month and an album another and it adds up over the three month period. Just my oppion though :sunny:

The memory mate case will be come your best friend when you do a party every thing you need fits in it and it's so nice with the wheels. I missed my 90 days by about $160 so I didn't get the cart so I had to buy it on my own but I'm so glad I have it. Good luck Nancy
