We are heading down in June. Tickets are all set, just have to add 2 addtl days to dd's 7 day hopper for the end of the trip. BUT...I have just been given 2 one day hoppers from a CM..they expire on June 8. I thought that I could start using our 7 day ph on June 3 and use the two CM phs on the 1st and 2nd. But, how does that then impact FP+? Can I even link those two ph's to MDE? Or do I just wait until we are 30 days out and do FP+ then, for dd.
Any thoughts?

If they are the printed out e-ticket Comp Tickets, or, if the CM has converted them to regular, hard tickets, you can link them to MDE. As an onsite guest, you can schedule your Fp+ 60 days out for all of your park days. When used, the Comp Tickets are regular day park hopping tickets

Thanks. So they will have a number on them, I can add them to MDE for my dd and we should be good to go. Excellent!

I didn't think we were allowed to link any CM tickets in MDX, including the printed out complimentary ones that can be given to friends and family. Maybe I am wrong though...wouldn't be the first time! :lmao:

A CM in Guest Relations regularly posts on the boards and she confirmed Comp Tickets can be linked. It's the Main Gates and Guest Passes that are a definite "no."

I believe it just changed relatively recently. I honestly don't know all the specifics but we can link main entrance passes and comp tickets now. However paper comp tickets must be converted to RF tickets prior to linking them.

Just copy / pasted this from the HUB ( see the complementary admission module):

At this time, please do not link your Main Entrance Passes, Guest Passes or complimentary eTickets to your My Disney Experience account. More information will be shared later this year around linking complimentary admission media to My Disney Experience, as well as making Disney FastPass+ selections in advance.

This is interesting. The last time I tried to link my CM comp tix (printed out) on MDE, it would not recognize the numbers. Maybe something has changed in the last couple of weeks??

Wow, I did not think we could link the comp tickets.

I will have to look into this, I only use mine at DL because of the restriction.

Just be careful if you want the tickets used first, and if you have another non-exire pass also linked to the same person. You may need to stop at guest relations to make sure the correct ticket is prioritized to be used first.

(such as if someone was using days from a 10 day non-expire, and you wanted the comp tickets [which DO expire] to be applied instead for a particular day instead.)

I have an expiring 7 day hopper. The CM passes I'm getting expire on June 8...so I would use those my first two days (June 1 and 2) and start the ph's on June 3. Hopefully. Worst case scenario.....I make FP+ choices for dd 30 days out, and use each CM ph without linking it for those first two days. I would have had to make FP+ choices 30 days out in any event....due to not being able to add 2 more days to the 7 day ph until I got there..and used it.

Just got off the phone with Disney Tech Support and they say that NO COMPS can be linked. Don't know what to believe anymore.

Here's the post from the Comp Ticket Total Confusion thread... The CM is a Guest Relations CM:

There are two types of comp tickets. First there are the Main Entrance passes and guest passes. These are blue plastic cards and the cast member MUST be there for you to use them. These types cannot be linked to MDE because they are intended to be re-used for different guests throughout the CM employment. If these tickets are linked Yes they will work but the CM will encounter them becoming void and will need to pay to replace them.

The second type are complimentary E tickets. These the CM prints off the computer and has it converted to green plastic media. The CM is not required to be in attendance when these passes are used and can be given as gifts. These tickets CAN be linked to MDE. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

My DH just looked on the Hub and under the FAQ section and it pretty much says not to link any comp tickets.

If it really is possible to link the printable comp-tickets (not the Main Gate Guest Passes) I just wish that the Hub would state that so there wouldn't be any confusion.

Here's the post from the Comp Ticket Total Confusion thread... The CM is a Guest Relations CM:

I have "paper comp park hopper passes," no hard green cards. I assume these green cards are the RFID cards?

I was told that if, for example, I have 10 paper tix, I will need to convert them to 10 hard RFID cards. At that point, I can make FP+ ressies, but only at the kiosks in the park, NOT online.

Yes, the green cards are the hard, plastic RFID cards.

You and I were both part of that Comp Ticket Total Confusion thread which should now be the title of this one too! ;)

Yes, I agree! ;0)

If what this CM is saying is true, then I would be able to take my 10 RFID cards and enter all of them into MDE to attach them to my Magic bands. I was told I couldn't do that--I'll need the RFID cards just to get into the park, and then I can use 1 per day, per park, and walk over to a kiosk to make my choices for that day only. I was told that despite having 10 RFID tickets, I could not make FP+ online for the entire 10 days.

See post #8 above. On the HUB it plainly says to NOT link them to the MDE. Don't really understand why everyone wants to bypass what they explicitly say NOT to do.

I have two 1-day park hopper CM comp tickets. I have linked both already to my account for my resort stay in May. It allowed me to select my fast passes for one of the days but not the other. Seems you can link them and pick fast passes (Was unaware you weren't suppose to) but only for one day if you happen to have more than one as I do.

If there is a way to pick fast passes for both days I have tickets, please do share.

I still don't know how you were able to do that, whether you were supposed to or not. My 17-digit codes under the barcodes on my tix always come up as "invalid numbers."
