I finally got around to ordering some stuff with the CM gift certificate I got when we moved last August. I ordered it through the website of the CMC and she and I emailed back and forth a few times. She told me when she took it to the post office and told me to watch for it. A week later it still hadn't arrived so I emailed her and asked how long it usually takes. She said I should have received it by then, and asked me to email if I didn't receive it by Saturday.
Yesterday I went to the post office to see if it was somehow "stuck" there, and of course they say they don't have it. So I emailed her.
Has any one ever had this happen? What is the next step? Will the CMC lose money on this if she has to mail another package?

What a bummer! I don't know for sure, but I think that she would lose money. However, valuable lessen learned. It's not that much to add a tracking number to a package. I know I'll do that if I have to ship products in the future!

I know this is a "duh" question, but since you moved, is there any chance she mailed it to the old address? Just a thought...

Did she send it regular post or parcel post? Parcel can take a while.

Also, could you ask your mail carrier if they delivered a package? Perhaps it was taken in by a neighbor so it wouldn't sit outside?

Anyway, hope it turns up soon!

I am a CM consultant and the answer is yes. If the package was lost in the mail, it is the responsibility of the CMC to replace it for you. I have found that sometimes packages take a lot longer than others. Give it a couple weeks and then ask her to replace it.

She only has my current address. I hadn't used her as a CMC before. We've emailed back and forth but I still don't have the package.

You can only use a CM gift certificate with the consultant who issued it. Is she the one who your gift certificate was from? Where did you get her website info?? Did you have to pay anything extra other than using your GC? I am a CMC and I am only asking these questions to make sure you did not get scammed or something. I hope by the time you read this, you have already received the package in the mail!! :cheer2:

Good questions, Kelli. This is the CMC that issued the gift certificate. I knew she was a CMC in our last town, but one of my other friend's was a CMC for awhile so I had used her. She's still listed on the website too. I did buy a little more so I charged about $8 to my credit card.
She did say she was going to be in my town the other day and would call to see when I'd be home to drop it off. Never heard from her. I could have missed her call when I was out but then why didn't she leave a message? :confused3
I've also had trouble with the post office "losing" one other package around the holidays. I think it's the post office at fault, personally.
