It seems like at one point I heard that DLR sells name tags that look like CM name tags, that are engraved on site. We looked for them while we were there, but not very hard, because, let's face it--we were all about the whole experience, not just seeing what's in every shop. DD's name is a bit unique, and so we can never find things with her name on it....

So, do they sell these/engrave them? If so, where in the world do I find them?!?

I don't believe I have ever seen name tags like the CM's wear, however there are things you can have customized. The ones that come to mind are the hats, and the leather goods in frontierland. They have things like bracelets, keychains, etc. I really like those!

You can't get name tags like CMs have. If you happen to have one and wear it in the park you could be told to leave. You can not impersonate the cast.

They are CM Name Tag, pins.

They used to sell name badges that you could get engraved. They had gold ones for the 50th anniversary, red ones with Mickey on them and pink princess ones. However, they do not sell them anymore.

It has been a while, and it is possible that the PPs have more recent information than I, but the only place that I found that sold the red name tags that looked like the CM name tags was the souvenir stand by the left tunnel as you are leaving Main Street. This is before you go through the tunnel leaving the park. I think the left tunnel as you are leaving is on the east side of the Town Square.

Hope this helps.

nope that was exactly what I was going to say...i think they still have them there...they are the same shape as CM nametags ...hope that helps:goodvibes

I also have a gold one from the 50th anniversary, but I have no idea where it is any longer :/. I haven't seen them in the parks lately.

Bummer... I thought DD would LOVE finally getting something like that with her name on it!

I remember seeing some things that could be engraved (I don't think that's the right name?) on leather in Frontierland, so I'll check over there again to see what they have that she may like. Thanks for the help!

Skiingfast--wasn't trying to get something to "impersonate" a CM... was trying to get a special treat for an 8yo who's staying home and being a fantastic sport about it. On one of my first threads here, someone mentioned being able to find a name tag similar to what the CM's wear, which was what I was inquiring about. No bad intent meant at all, certainly not trying to use a nametag to appear to work at DLR!

I recreated five Disneyland rides a few years back for a Disney Experience celebration and had "cast members" and needed CM tags to use. I found all the names I needed on Ebay! Genuine CM tags from various parks! It was pretty fun- actually got a "Claude" tag from Paris!! The Cast members (who were co hosts of the celebration) got to keep the tags as favors, too.

This was just a private party at my house.

Try the world of disney store in down town disney. I know they had them there at one point, but it has been a couple of years. My son has a name that is never on any of the ready made items, so I know what you are going thru.

This weekend I saw some folks where ones that had the CM tag shape, but were purple I believe. I didn't take a good look at them.. I'm not sure if you can still buy these or if the person had bought it prior.

I do believe that if you wear a white or slightly off-white nametag, you are subject to having a million questions being asked of you.. or being asked to take it off. I'll probably ask what the policy is next time I'm at the parks. :)

Bought silver oval Disney name badge east side of east tunnel, they look very official. I bought these end of Feb. Also nice Mickey sheriff badges in Frontierland. You can buy blanks I got them engraved at a jewelry store.

This thread over in the Creative DISigns area used to keep me busy.

Tom's Custom Name Tag Graphics

Feel free to use the blanks to make your own magnet or tshirt (use the font Arial Rounded). The best thing to do to avoid any funny looks is to make them larger than actual size.

Please be respectful and use these appropriately.
