Does the CM hall of fame still exist?
If so, I'd love to nominate this lovely lady!
She was working the Chewie line at SW weekends. We had attempted to wait in her line on Friday but left to make our dinner reservations. We came back Saturday and she remembered us from the day before. We chatted about many things, costume making, steampunk, food in the parks, how awful the food was at Hollywood and Vine, etc. then after being in line for over an hour with at least 40 minutes to go, my 7 yo son got sick to his stomach and we needed to sprint for the closest bathroom. She whispered to me to come back and see her when he was feeling better as I dashed away.
About an hour later when he was cleaned up, cooled off and feeling better, we walked back to the line. Kaitlyn hugged my son, asked how he was feeling and told us to wait right there. In a few minutes she escorted us to a spot where we would be the 3rd family to see Chewie! She had spoken to the other family that we were in front of in line and explained what had happened and they were willing to let us get back into the spot we had been in if we had not had to leave the line.
I know some people will say that what she did was wrong and we shouldn't have been allowed to do that, but it made my son's day. He was so sad to think that he had made us miss seeing Chewie because he got sick (no matter what mom said to the contrary). Not only was she super kind to do that for us, but she went out of her way in the heat and crowds to be kind and funny with everyone in line. She exemplifies what CM's should be like every single day! Go Kaitlyn!
