CM cancellation 3+ weeks out.... impossible?

So is it pretty much impossible to snag a Chef Mickeys? I've been looking for weeks now... Haven't seen anything open up! If there are any tricks you can share, please send them on!! I'm stalking the cancellation thread and keep checking for ADRs.....

I'm with you. I haven't seen one open either. I've been doing the same thing, repeatedly checking all through the day for weeks.

That's one of the harder ones to snag, IMO, but it is not impossible.
As you get closer, people do cancel. I got some of my best ADRs the day before the ADR, so keep checking, even while at WDW.

There aren't any tricks - just persistence. You should check online multiple times a day because people will cancel when their plans change, especially for a place like CM which has a credit card/no show guarantee. People will cancel to avoid the $10 per person penalty. It's also good that you have subscribed to the cancellation thread.

I ended up getting one 3 weeks out. The key is to be very very persistent with checking adrs. Early morning, afternoon, late at night etc. Even though it is stupidly annoying, just keep checking! & also get on the cancelation thread for your month. I have seen a chef mickeys pop up on the October one a week or so ago. Good luck!

There's hope! I got one two days ago for our trip in a few weeks. And it seems like there is always a lot of movement for same week reservations. Good luck!

Keep trying! Like others have said cancelations do happen. Do to a change in plans we had to cancel a 6:50 pm for Oct. 24 but were lucky enough to get a new ADR for Oct 27 its at 9:05 pm but that's ok! Good luck!!!!

I once planned a trip 4 weeks in advance and I ended up nabbing ADR's at O'hana and Chef Mickey's at good times. As people finalize their plans they drop ADR's. you may also want to check the day before- we have dropped ADR's the day before because we were worn out from the parks.
