Hi! We are staying at Club Wyndham in a few months. Which building is the best to stay in? I have kids ages 8, 10, 12, so we would prefer to be by the bigger pools and/or lazy rivers, not the splash pad/baby pools. Thanks in advance for your help!

We like Tower 4 (requested and got each time) or Tower 5. They sit between the lazy rivers but note they are very short and nothing like a lazy river at other hotels. But the pools there and several hot tubs are nice. There is the bar and fort and it feels less geared to young kids. The activity building is also not far.

We thought Tower 3 pool was very much geared for younger kids and was a busy area. Tower 1 and 2 were very far from anything. We also had a parking deck right in front so we could keep our car covered. And we were close to the gate entrance going to and from the property.

Thank you very much for your reply. We usually stay onsite, but we have heard such great things about this hotel - we had to give it a try.

If I could justify the cost I'd stay every trip, but it's usually just my son and I ... and we are park centric so we are fine with a hotel room/suite. We have stayed in 1 and 2 bedroom units and loved them every time. While it isn't on property, you have to go on property to access it so it feels like it is ... and so easy to quickly get anywhere on property.

Pools are nice, good activities if you do day time at resort. One day DS#2 and I went to a park while DH and DS#1 relaxed. They had Gatorland there with critters and he got to hold a small gator. We used the grills for some steaks one night and enjoyed music at the bar from our balcony. I've also had fireworks views units.

Enjoy!

Bonnet has gone back and forth about whether or not they accept location requests in advance. If they aren't, it's really not a big deal; the resort is fairly compact compared to some of the Disney resorts. Provided no one in your party has mobility issues, it won't take more than ten minutes to walk from one end of the resort to the other.

Personally, I prefer Building 5 or 6 if you have kids. Building 5 has the lazy river and Building 6 has the pirate ship slide. A high floor with a "pool view" in either of those buildings, will give a spectacular view. Especially at night.

I agree that you can't go wrong with 4, 5, or 6, but we pool hop all around the resort. 4 is a little quieter because it's not right on a pool, but still easy access. You'll love it, have fun!

4 or 5 as well for us. Been going for 9 years now to WBC and have always gotten one of these two buildings upon request at check-in. I've never stayed in Towers 1 - 3 in all this time.

Early arrival on check-in day increases your chances of having your request fulfilled.

Unfortunately we are flying and I can't check in early. I'll try calling and see what happens. I am VIP Gold so maybe I will get lucky and they will mark my account!

I would believe VIP GOLD status should get you what you request. Have a FANTASTIC time!!!!

Thanks! I called and they put a note on my account. The man I spoke to told me that Epcot recently changed their show to more laser lights and you can't really see them from the resort now. He recommended that we have a balcony overlooking the lake instead. But I did request building 5 or 6. We'll be happy wherever! I'm so excited!!!

Sounds like you have a chance at a GREAT view. Lakeview and/or pool view are FANTASTIC!!!!

Well, please share your experience. Which building did you get?? How was it???

Just in case you do not get lake view. We recently were in Tower 5 and were disappointed not to get a lake view. However, we were thrilled at 8pm to watch the fireworks from the MK and Epcot (2 night we heard the music) from our balcony. We also were able to have a great view of Spaceship Earth with its new lighted design. Beautiful.

I was just going to ask which buildings are best for fireworks views. So, Tower 5 with a 'parking lot' view?

We have had good views from Tower 4 and Tower 5. While I enjoy upper lake views, watching the fireworks from our balcony was great. I always have good intentions of going to watch the fireworks from the showing room in building 1, we usually don't have the energy to go out at 9!

One thing is to request above the 9th Floor.
