Ok.. So here is the scoop. Currently I have three rooms booked at HRH for three days mid October during the week. I am debating whether I should switch to Club Level. It is almost $900 for our stay since we have three rooms booked. We are on a budget, Does everyone think the extra benefits of Club Level are worth it??

I have never felt the need to go club level. I have been to the HRH 4 times, and the RPR two times. We are a family of three and DS is a big eater. We have always been able to bring enough food for breakfast (and often lunch) in the room. Dinners are always out. I have never wanted to have to feel like a slave to the evening hor duerve and snack schedule that club level offers. If I am out enjoying myself, I do not want DH to say it is time to return to the hotel for cheese cubes and a "free" beer.

Of course I have never been club, so consider the source.

No, they definitely are not worth it. They are fun, for a few days every now and then, but definitely not worth it.

That $900.00 will buy a heck of a lot of bagels, muffins, fruit, beer and wine.

I would vote to do a grocery run, buy a few $3.00 styrofoam coolers and stock up on the essentials, especially if you are on a budget. Use that $900.00 towards another trip or even a couple of nice dinners at City Walk or one of the hotels.

We just make an ice run every morning and have never had the milk, cream cheese, beer and most importantly the wine get warm.

Thanks for the advice. I thought it would be fun, to live a little at Club Level.

Also, my idea of being on a budget is not most peoples idea of being on a budget!!!! Believe me, we dont have unlimited funds but I could afford it without breaking the bank. The $900 would hurt a little!!!

I am just not sure that it is all worth it. I am renting a cabana by the pool for two days. :cool1: :cool1: I think the cabana this trip will be my big splurge.

I will stick with garden view this time and next time do club level when everyone is not with us and I can do it for just one room.

Club level is fun but it usually costs $80-$100 a day more. It is really hard to justify unless your party is the max and you can drink tons of wine/beer in a short period of time. The last time we stayed I got a real deal through Loews 1st with 2 nights at the PBH Club for $129 a night. I talked to the girl at conceirge and she encouraged us to take sodas back to the room every visit and we smuggled cookies out and took home a bunch of little jellies and ate there as much as we could but still didn't consume $80 worth. That said I've read where others were offered club level at check-in for $50 and that would be more reasonable but very hard to plan for. We received a club upgrade at the Peabody for $50 and the food was good enough that it came close to paying for itself.
I'd plan for the garden view but be prepared for a negotiation at check-in.

We stayed at club level once, when the Royal Pacific opened and they were running the $149 special. We loved it and DH has been spoiled ever since. It was so nice in the morning to walk down the hall for breakfast, and grab water for the parks when leaving. We are swim in the afternoon people so we timed our swim time and back to the parks to include the evening snacks, which were much more then cheese cubes, grab some more water and back to the parks. We would eat after the parks closed and return for cookies and DH beer. This was on our 2nd trip, but we have not been able to justify the $80 to $100 a day price now charged, I think I would have booked it anyway this year but our son and family are coming with and he is on a budget so maybe next time.

We're trying club level at HRH for the first time in July. The difference in the AAA rate was only $27 per night! $309 for a deluxe room (which we had last time) and $336 for a club room. Hoping to get a deluxe club room but for $27 per night it was just too good to resist. We'll see how we like it. Universal got addictive just like Disney.

Sounds like my family is in the minority. We're doing club level at RPR for the 3rd time in just 8 days from now. 8 DAYS!! yea!!!!!!! Anyway, 16 and 19 yr. old sons are pretty much bottomless pits when it comes to food. Since we fly down, we really don't have the ease of stopping somewhere to pick up food & drinks like some of you do. We usually ended up with me getting coffee really early, husband joining me for breakfast and then the boys sloooowly waking up and wandering down for some. That would then hold us for a late lunch in the parks. Dh and I also enjoy late afternoon coffee, so coming back to RPR to have that afternoon break and avoid t-storms and not have to hunt down a fresh cup? Of course we all had to try whatever they put out for the 5pm offerings....then get pizza or something later in the evening at the parks. Little luxuries, but between that and being able to grab some bottles of water to take to the parks? To us? worth it.

Are you saying it is $900 more to stay Club? Or that is what you're gonna pay for your regular room? How many people do you have in those 3 rooms? What are you gonna spend to feed them breakfast, get h2o bottles, sodas, coffee, some adult beverages and an evening snack. Where are you going to "get in" with that many people? It is a lot to really think about. It would be a nice place to meet at and relax also.

We were able to score Club after checkin for $60 and it was well worth it to us. Breakfast for 4 every morning and then water and pops to go when we headed out to the parks was great. We would spend the day in the park and have a snack of some kind and then hit an early dinner and head in for the
5-7 timing and then pool it and then cookies and milk and head the kids off to bed. By doing this we only bought 1 meal and a snack the whole day. We also saved a lot of time and I think money. Also it is nice to get a little something special on vacation.

Good luck and whatever you do.

It is $900 additional to change our reservation from garden view to club level. It is three rooms for three nights, works out to $100 per room per night. There are 5 adults and 3 children

I think we won't get $900 worth and I may save club level for an another trip when it is just me and not my extended family!!!!

Club level is nice, but not worth $900. I've stayed at the Renaissance club level across from SWF. Breakfast and the afternoon snacks are great, but I don't miss it when I'm in a regular room.
I bring my own cooler and that's my club level.
