Just making certain, is there anyone at club level that can't accept a tip? I am assuming tipping mousekeeping is acceptable??? Thanks in advance - so excited for our first CL trip

.So does anyone know a CL CM who wouldn't mind sharing some good tips they've received? We're booked CL next week and I thought cash was appropriate! Meep!
Cash is not appropriate, but perhaps a gift basket of items representing your local area?
One good way to "tip" is to clean up after yourselves in the lounge, instead of making the CL staff do it. They really appreciate that. Some guests think the staff are their personal butlers.
When they either take it from you or return it to you. Or both.Sorry for the dummy check, but how do I tip bell services? Leave it when I leave my luggage at the front desk?
FYI: at YC, there is no where to leave dirty plates, etc yourself. The staff has to clear the tables. It isn't that I think they are my personal butlers, it is the way the lounge is set up. Years ago they had a table for you to leave dirty plates & we always cleared our plates then. They removed that table years ago & now, you have to leave your dirty things on your table. There is no way for you to clean up after yourself, other than making sure you haven't made a huge mess on the table & surrounding area. They also seemed to have added a few more cast members to take care of things. Years ago there were usually only 2 CMs on at a time. Last week there were usually 3 or 4 CMs in the lounge at all times.
You can leave CL dishes on the table and still be clean. Guests can eat their takeout pizza on the couch and throw their box out; pick their trash and food up off the floor; tidy after their kids; etc. Gratitude comes in many forms. This was just one (out of several lounge etiquette examples) that came to mind due to situations we've encountered. Don't be a burden.
No! Surely not!Well, the guy in the bathrobe putting everything on a tray won't leave a mess. He'll just be the mess.
I take it you haven't spent much time in the concierge lounge. There is always one guy or gal who shows up in bathrobes or pjs.No! Surely not!
...there is a dress code, isn't there? I mean, not suit & tie, but shirt and shoes at least?
So true!I take it you haven't spent much time in the concierge lounge. There is always one guy or gal who shows up in bathrobes or pjs.
