Club Level Question - Letting the Concierge Plan Your Ressies

We will be staying Club Level at Poly for Labor Day 2015.

I am totally type-A and plan my trip well in advance.

I have already touched base with Poly's Club level and they sent me the reservation sheet.

My question is:

Would you trust the CL to book your resizes? Do you get the times and dates that you request? Or should I just do it myself to guarantee that I get the dates and times that I want - especially for hard to get ressies like Ohana, etc.

Or is it totally worth it to let CL book for you? I would imagine that they may enter your requests prior to the 180 day window and then your requests could possibly get priority and you slide into your requested spot?

Does anyone have experience with this? Good, bad experiences???

The concierge staff does not really get priority and they have no earlier access. That said, they have always been successful in getting me what I wanted if I gave them my requests prior to the 180 day mark. For some difficult items, you might try to get one on your own and let them try. If you end up with two, just cancel one.

Good point to do both!

Before MDE the concierge served quite a decent role for CL - Afterwards? We're basically on the same system they are and no way are they going to get up at 6am to make BoG RSVPs for the dozen or so families coming in in 180 days, no matter how magical they are! :thumbsup2

If you're type A, you're better off doing it yourself.

IMO though, I think Disney should hold back RSVPs for CL staff only just to make them worthwhile again.

Very true. I will be sitting on my computer at 5:45am! I kind of love it though too!

As the pp said, IPO doesn't have any pull for getting ADRs and they don't have access to do it any earlier than you do. With that said, I have never used IPO as I like to book myself, but like the pp suggested, you could give IPO your requests and also look yourself. If you get any duplicates, just cancel one. Good luck.

Untrue. On your 180, the standard person gets availability for reservations at 6AM the morning they are able to book. Concierge is able to start booking for you at 5AM - a 1 hour advantage that usually works in their favor.

When I have given them more than 6 months notice, they have gotten me everything I wanted at the time I wanted.

Good to know!

I have found this to be true as well.

We've always let the Club Level Planning office do our ADRs. We give them the times and except once have they failed to get us an ADR within 15 minutes of our times and that was 30 minutes. I 'd trust them and do.

I actually think they DO get priority, but it's been years since I've stayed CL.

When we did, and it was over the busiest week of the year, I gave them the places we wanted to eat at and times, plus for New Year's Eve, I told them I wanted in Illuminations cruise.

They booked it all for us, plus when they gave us our itinerary, our cruise said "Breathless". I was "Clueless". There was (it's not in service anymore) only one Breathless, and it was a little amazing replica of a 1930's runabout Chris Craft boat that ran $300+ but I'm sure we paid less as it was way before they took it out of commission). There is NO WAY anyone not CL could have booked that New Year's Eve. It was amazing.

I am totally type A - I have to be in charge of all our details. That trip, they took over and went above and beyond.

Club Level does get priority, as I've stayed club level at Poly and now GF and both times my ADRs were booked way before the phone lines even opened to start booking. I checked like 5am-ish and I all my ADRs were shown booked on My Disney experience page online. I had BOG for dinner 3 nights CRT for breakfast and many more hard to get ressies. Good to know while I was still sleep I had some Disney angel making my reservations in the wee hour of the morning at my IPO :)
