hi fellow nerds. Thinking about splurging for a long weekend and staying club level for first time. Two questions

- if you book concierge, are you guaranteed to be on the top floor?

- any opinions as to whether concierge is worth it or not?

Thanks!!!!

There are two CL options at CR, Tower Club and Atrium Club.

Tower Club is the 14th floor, which is the very top guest room floor (the only floor above you is California Grill). The 14th Floor is mostly suites with a handful of 'standard' rooms. Some of the suites are bookable online, the standard rooms are only bookable via phone.

Atrium Club is what most people refer to when they say "CR CL." Atrium Club rooms are on the 12th floor, just below the Tower Club rooms (there is no labeled 13th floor at CR). Atrium Club is easily identified/booked online. Yes, if you book these rooms you're guaranteed to be on the 12th floor.

"Worth it" is highly subjective and I'll leave it to others to chime in.

You may also want to post in the Club Level thread if you don't many responses here.

Hope that helps!

Worth it? How much extra per day is it? What you are paying for are a small breakfast, snacks, desserts, drinks, and possibly a room with a view. Generally, the staff has no special access to ADRs and FP+. Is the extra expense worth it to you?

We did club level at AKL and would never bother to pay that much extra again.

We didn't particularly care for club @ CR -- I mean the staff were awesome, just the whole set-up up there was a bit odd. We stayed club @ the Poly and absolutely loved everything about it!

Thanks guys. Erin anything specific you can say about why you didn't like it? Wanted to book the poly but got a 20% discount at the contemporary with the annual pass discount.

The offerings in the lounge were off putting at least for me, things were harder to find and they had no bathroom at all...so once you ate, you had to go back to your room or to floor 1 or 4. I mean nothing was a huge big deal, just wasn't for me and I much preferred the Poly.

If you have the money go for it :) our favorite trips were AKL CL .. the food is amazing and the morning safari was fun . I always try to get AKL cL but it’s so hard to get these days ! The CL desk even got us in at CRT two days out for my daughters birthday.. although they can’t always make stuff happen they do try :)

We stayed at CR CL last summer and love every second. We were atrium club level and had a view of MK, which was priceless. We also did not do the DDP and ate breakfast everyday except one in the lounge. My husband and I took beer and wine back to the room to watch the fireworks, and the kids got one of their favorite treats..soda. We never ate dinner there, but we could graze a bit and always ate the desserts. It was super hot so they had bottled water for us, which was nice. I know that the worth of CL is debated by many, but for us it was an amazing experience. We also got our room at a military discount. Please visit the CL thread if you would like to ask more questions! People are really helpful there.

I have to disagree with the notion that they don't get you special dining reservations. The time we did AKL club level, they booked all our dining (and that was the week starting Dec. 26th), plus I indicated we wanted an Illuminations Cruise at some point during the week. They booked us on Breathless, on New Year's Eve! Breathless is no longer available, and it was amazing. It was the hardest cruise to get, so I know it was only available to club guests that week. It was something like $300 plus for the 4 of us, plus tip, and I had bought a bottle of bubbly from the Yacht Club gift shop cooler right prior to it, then asked a bartender if we could borrow 2 champagne flutes. Our captain said they normally don't allow it, but he let us have our Fairy Tale Cuvee on the cruise (which was freaking amazing! We got much closer than the normal pontoon boats).

Ditto! I have stayed on both floors. The difference with the 14th fl is the balconies are HUGE! A bit noiser as the nightly FW's were loud! People tend to take their "goodies" back to their rooms/suites rather than hanging out in the lounge. (During my stay.)
