I have seen that I can get a studio at club level for the same price as a week at a basic studio at some other places.

What I don't seem to be able to find is any details about what club level actually offers you: perks and benefits, etc.

1. Is it open to anyone (if they have enough points) or is it something you have to 'upgrade to' at further expense?
2. Is it actually worth it?

Thanks

IMO everyone should give it a try.

Is it worth it, not to our family. Poor views from the room and some snacks and drinks at a premium price.

The Club Level booking category consists of five 2BR lockoffs. That means there are at most five studios if all of the 2BRs are "locked off" and reserved as studios and 1BRs. If someone books a 2BR that takes a studio out of inventory. The studios book up most quickly so they are very hard to get even if you own AKV points and try to book when the 11 month window opens. There isn't much (if any) availability left for non-owners when the 7-month window opens.

We tried a 1 BR CL villa last December for just one night. The food offerings were very nice and we really liked it. We decided beforehand that we wouldn't be spending much time in the parks, and instead enjoyed resort activities such as the bonfire, cast member talks, the pool (it was unusually warm for that time of year when we were there), as well as watching football in our villa (with some food and drinks from the lounge). Our room overlooked the pool. The Christmas tree at AKV was magnificient. We also took a bus to the MK and then a boat to Wilderness Lodge to look at the tree there and did a "sleigh" ride at Ft. Wilderness. I would say you should try it, but with all the food, you might not want too much park time as you will feel you are missing out on various food and drink offerings. We will probably do this again, but that being said, we really love the savannah view just as much.

We really enjoy the club lounge and it's totally worth the extra points for us. Yes, the room views *are* lousy but they are centrally located and easy to get to. The view from the lounge is really nice and if you stay long enough you get to know the staff. We try to book CL for a few days every year.
