Has anyone stayed at Club Intrawest Vancouver? If so, what where your thoughts on it?

Also, I can only book 4 months out, how difficult would it be to get a reservation here? Looking at June 2014 if that helps. We wanted to stay here post cruise if possible.

Thanks!

I haven't stayed there but they only have studios and 1 BR units. I'd suggest you head over to TUG at tug2.net and look for more info. I did review the TUG reviews and the info was positive.

We tried to get a room there for a couple of night pre-cruise in August 2011. There was nothing available ever. Started looking at 7 months, kept looking periodically until about 4 months out. Couldn't wait any longer and had to book an alternate accomodation. Also had the same problem trying to book the Club Intrawest at Whistler for 5 nights post-cruise for the same vacation. There was nothing available ever.

I hope that your experience with availability is better.

Tha's what I am afraid of. Will have to come up with a plan B. Especially since can't book till 4 months out.

There is some availability for June right now through RCI and it looks like you'll be able to book for less than 7 days if available. They may charge a housekeeping fee.
Housekeeping Fees
"For all RCI points reservations: There may be a 45.00 U.S. dollars for Studio, per stay. "
There will be a housekeeping fee for any reservation that is less than 7 nights.
"For all RCI points reservations: There may be a 55.00 U.S. dollars for 1 Bedroom units, per stay. "

I would suspect you're less likely to get in through BVTC but that would drop the housekeeping fee I'd expect. No harm in trying, let us know what happens.

So can I book it through RCI or do I have to do it through BVTC. When I look on DVC website and go through the RCI link, there are no places listed in Vancouver. I am new to this whole exchange thing. Have only used my points for Disney stays.

When I called member services last month, they told me since it is less then 7 day stay, I had to wait till 4 months out to book, which puts me at Feb to book this stay.

We must of been lucky-we've booked there twice with just a couple months notice-once was over easter.

Loved the place! Great location-nice studio on the 26th floor. It's actually part of the Sheraton Wall Centre.

I suggest you book at your plan B hotel with a cancel no penalty and keep trying.

DVC has 2 in the City, Worldmark and Club Intrawest. Club Intrawest is showing in RCI points but not if you go through DVC for some reason. You should likely call once you are firmly committed. I'm always happy to check such availability for DVC members to give them additional or faster info to help in their planning and I'd be fine with doing the same for you. What's best depends on how many days you're staying. If both are available it comes down to the relative points of each and the possible housekeeping fee of a stay less than a week.

We actually have club Intrawest points that we bought before we had kids. What dates are you looking for? I wonder if it would be easier for me to get? We haven't stayed at this one but have stayed at Whistler and it's beautiful. We've traded into DVC with our points and now own VGC points as well. But are planning a May trip to WDW. Maybe we could trade??

I have points with Club Intrawest and am looking to trade for accommodations at Aulani. I am highly motivated to make a trade and will give better value than going through the exchange system. Feel free to contact me!

We stayed there for 3 nights in 2011 after the first Alaska cruise. Loved it. We had a one bedroom. It was an excellent location to explore Vancouver. We didn't have any problems booking it, but that was the first time of DCL doing Alaska and it was May.
