Club Cool is slacking

It's certainly not a must-do for my family, but we've enjoyed it for the atmosphere as well as a free drink. Knowing it had been redone, I had it on my Epcot itinerary with a question mark. If it's nothing more than a glorified gift shop with (at best, apparently) inconsistent upkeep of the beverage part, then we won't bother with it. Too bad.

That's a shame. In Nov. they were only out of one kind of soda. How disappointing to hear they're down to only 2 different kinds. I hope they will refill soon!

I miss Ice Station Cool.

Club Cool is not so cool anymore and that is a shame it was a nice touch to Epcot

Didn't they just make it over, and if that is the case, they won't be closing it anytime soon, so hopefully they will get more of the beverages in stock again.

The thing to consider is that they took virtually ALL of the UNIQUE THEMEING away and left a basically "generic" glass-windowed "store" there.

They could easily just close it for a few days and re-open it as just about ANY kind of shop in that prime spot.

:sad2: I also think it is a shame what happened to the former Ice Station Cool!!!! I think it was a huge mistake that they did away with the igloo, that was a big part of what made it awesome! I also hope that they at least keep the "tanks" full at Club Cool! That is embaressing for both Disney and Coke! :guilty:

I hate to say this but a big reason I enjoyed going to Epcot was for the Smart Watermelon...aka the best soda I've ever tasted. They'd better get their act together!!!

Oooh, I hope it's all fixed when we get there in 2½ weeks! I really wanted to have DH try the Beverly (and I want to try it too!). :)

I have to agree totally. Club Cool was quite a bit disappointing. I know Disney does not have to do this, but if they are going to they should at least keep it up to WDW standards. When we were there most of the drinks were out, only very few available, and the worst thing, in some spots you stuck to the floor. The floor was so sticky. UGGH! The machines were sticky also. But on one good note it was nice to taste what they did have, and it was nice and cool in there especially on a hot July day!

Well, THAT was ALWAYS a "trademark" of this attraction, even before the recent re-do.
You were guaranteed to have sticky shoes (and sticky fingers) inside the building (and for a while AFTER LEAVING) Ice Station Cool.

I imagine that a good part of the stickiness on the floor was...

BEVERLY! ;)

(Makes a better "floorwax" than it does a DRINK!) :goodvibes

I wonder why they messed with the igloo/cave man theme??? That was so much fun! So, now it's just a regular building???? And most of the drinks are empty???? Why bother. :confused3

We enjoyed the themeing of Ice Station Cool much more than Club Cool. The only thing we like about the new setup are the frozen coke stations.
