thanks h.queen , for the info...i think my lil'cutie pie might
enjoy such a tour. ca't imagine anyone being
upset for letting others know what is available for
their kindred spirits. after all, isn't sharing the coolest
thing to do @ any disney park?
in reality , it is my wonderful wife who the disney leader
in our family. at best, i am just her tag~a~long. and
just by luck, & great table mates from a disney cruise,
we became dvc members. so instead of buying her
another ring, she got 3 contacts ( one each for the
3 wonderful children that has blessed our life).
well the thing about bj's feelings, he came across as he stated &
was making a lot of sense to me , esp. since he has went through
some tough times recently. (many fall back on past experiences
that give them security & comfort.) i am guessing, but besides
good food & service, does this club add special encounters too?
..do they have doggie bags?-yes ours are that special!
( and their names begin with m&m-not candy)
hope your upcoming trip , is your best yet! ( i remember when
you trying to set it up & read many times trying to help
others....however, we already spent our points. but
i think over coming obstacles eventually lead to greater rewards. )
i also thought the "magic" door opener was very special too,
" in~your~deeds!"
your input had warm feelings too share~ & "they" brought back
many great memories from the unlikely sources -the workers-
going out of their way. your inspiration & excitement..may
encourage a young guest to be the next cinderella. you are a teacher
in many ways. it reminded me- my daughter grades school teacher,
taking her experiences & created a learning program. in this situation,
it taught my daughter about some of her family connections. but
most of all, i think it's neat to take a daily routine while adding a few
special touches.
i am not a great-"great" disney fan. it isn't because i dread going to
the parks and tolerating all the crowds,
, i was glad when
our boys were out-growing their disney expectations. but then a
funny thing happened on the way to early retirement, we were
blessed with a lil'girl. more than being a miracle ~ she had her (dear)
grandmother's beautiful red hair. also 1oyears prior, i had made a
promise to my wife.."if disney ever build a cruise ship, i'll take you".
i never dream...
if you asked my wife, she tell how i tried every way to get
out of that promise, but she would not budge. & in those
early d~years, it was "an experience" from another family
with a lil'girl too. that precious
kept bugging her
mother- to ask us if she could sit by our daughter. no body
was going to tell her any difference!, she was sitting
next to the "real ariel". sure wished i took a picture of
the moment. later we had to played the crazy crt revs.
"wheel of fortune". it took us a few times, "just to figured"
what we were up against. one time, i wanted to give a
special treat for my wife. what i did ....took a autograph book,
and made it into a "baby bragged" book. i realized the
disney girls, are @ the age where they are beginning
thinking about finding their princes...& new life. the
first princess missed "the target", but the ms. snow girl
got it prefectly & they all together- "gave" the 2 most important
princesses- in my world, a royal tour.
afterwards, the snow girl whispered to my daughter ...how
lucky to have such a wonderful mother, never thinking
it came from her daddy. but the really important thing, my wife
knew. that's magic that cannot be seen but only
felt,
so , if others have different feelings/meanings for the parks,
like here- doesn't always mean someone is wrong.recently, on
the theme boards, the poster overheard some teens talking
about the "walt dude" . many felt they were missing something
but i thought he would had been happy~ that the youth of
the day, are still talking about him.
in my ways of thinking, the disney properties are a location
& in reality, can be whatever "we" make them. i am reminded
of the picture where walt watching his daughter on the pony
rides. what does it takes to find such happiness? for me , it
was my wife squeezing my hand after the "snow white"
girl gave her the very high praises.
when can one make a difference? like when a family having to
cope with a melt down? instead of staring , maybe offering a cold
drink or encouraging word? just an observation, but
i come to learn that a disney park is big enough place, to hold dreams
- no matter the size or shape or even color- & the "secret"
for making them into reality, are the "acts of kindness".
now all that above was to set the table for the following; as
i have no special disney connections, nor insider knowledge. but
sometimes, paths are crossed that makes one think-a lil' harder.
a friend @ work was very interested in our trips. she is
an adult with her own family & wanting to go to wdw.
she & her family have never went & knows less than
me. but as we talk, she spoke of her grandparents. they too ,
were never disney/park folks. however,
she had grew up listening to her grandparents' vacations and
their close friends they shared company with...walt & his family.
their pictures and their "times" spent were nothing commercial,
and are hidden treasures that they are keeping safe. memories,
family & dear friends. which i think why most are going for.
secondly, i think it is ironic that she has no idea about the
high-profile symbols , even to try for any....but actual grew up
in one, that her grandparents gave her own living room.
to me, it stuff like this that makes life amazing. and though i
am far from the expert status, i will share what i think is
the best~kept secret, the potential for
can happen
anywhere in or around the parks..even in the lines.
