I'm sure this has been asked before (many, many, many) times, but why not...

We are going to Disneyland in February 2012 for our annual trip. Every year we walk by the door to Club 33 and drool and I even shed a tear.

How do some people get so lucky as to have an invitation to a meal there? I've read the application process and know that will never happen for us. But I hope that one day I can cross the thresh hold to one of the most coveted areas of Disneyland. :tink:

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! :thanks:

Bring it up with people you know. Friends, coworkers, vendors ect...

Yes - whenever someone asked about our DL trip and why we were flying ALL the way to CA to go we'd tell them about the unique things there like Club 33. I must have told the story 200 times about how special Club 33 is and what a dream it was to go. My invite came from the most unexpected of places!

Six degrees of separation really works. Don't give up!! :thumbsup2

Same here. Just let people know.

If you are on Facebook, post there that you're interested in going to 33. My husband saw a picture on a friends page taken at Club 33 and PM'd him to ask how he got in. He sent him back a message saying he himself is a member! DH hadn't seen him in years (they were friends in high school) but he offered to sponsor DH and I. So, on our trip last month, we went to Club 33 for lunch!!! You never know unless you ask, so put it out there in the universe that you're interested :)

As all of the PP have said ask around and network
It's amazing the people who you talk to love Disney just as much
As you do!!

Yep, as others have said, mention it to anyone and everyone :thumbsup2

I had no idea that a friend of my fathers was a member until I saw a silent auction that he had donated a dinner at Club 33 (winner would go with him). My dad didn't even know what Club 33 was he would have never known to ask him for me. So I got brave and asked my Dad to see if his friend was a member and (flinching as I asked)...could he get me a reservation. Within a 1/2 hour my dad called me back and said his friend would be happy to.

We celebrated my son's 7th birthday with lunch at Club 33. An incredible memory that won't be forgotten.

So just keep asking :)

I completely understand how you feel. I've tried on this site, on Facebook and at work with no luck. I feel it's going to happen for me someday soon. Good luck.

I work for a large corporation and never knew until after 20 years that my own company had a membership. A co-worker happened to mention that she went to a breakfast meeting there with her team. She had no idea it was anything that special. We have been able to go twice now and I wish I had known sooner.

I would love to have dinner or luch there. I never thought about facebook.
Just keep mentioning it to your friends/coworkers/business associates, it can happen. The last person I expected was the one who got me in.

We have been there a couple of times now and the invite came out of the blue. I have no way to repay the member other than to say thanks. I has been most enjoyable and feel privledged to go.

I love the lunch buffet but I think supper is my favorite, it seems more intimate and the server(Louis) was over the top. He made us feel like family.

Best of luck,

Jack

I have been trying like crazy to secure a reservation for next September, for our 5th anniversary, but its difficult because I can only ask places where my wife won't know what I'm trying to pull off. She doesn't read DISboards, but she is on facebook, so that's not an option for me. Its difficult, but I'm almost flad its not easy, so if I can figure it out I'll feel a sense of triumph. Would love to hear success stories, theyt serve as inspiration!

Thanks so much for all the suggestions....that's what I've been doing for years now. Both my husband and myself work for public agencies, so no chance we'll go through our works. Keeping my fingers crossed for friends since they all know how obsessed I am with Disney.:rotfl::lovestruc

Hi all! You won't believe this, but in 7 days, my dream will come true! :tink:

I can't give out the details (as I promised my Fairy Godfather pixiedust: I wouldn't) but he saw my post and PM'd me!!! After a few emails back and forth, he secured a reservation! What makes it even more special is that I get to bring my best friend of 30 years and her family with us! :woohoo:

The only thing that makes me sad is that my oldest son can't go! We planned this trip last summer and found out 2 weeks ago that his JV baseball will conflict with the trip :sad1: So....since he is very commited to baseball, he opted to stay home with my parents. I have to commend him for making that very hard decision, but his answer was simply "When I'm a famous baseball player and I have my membership to Club 33, we can go all the time!" If you're gonna dream son, dream big

I'll post pics and such when we get back....

Remember....with a little faith, trust and pixie dust, your dreams can come true...:tinker:

/\ Very cool! It's nice to know that someone here was so very kind. Enjoy!

Congratulations!!!!! :cheer2: Yeah for you!!! :cheer2:

How very kind of your Fairy-Godfather.

BMICKEY Enjoy your time making a fantastic memory.

That's awesome! Congratulations and have a great time!

Being east coast based and a public employee, I feel that my chances of getting in would also be slim. But it's good to hear stories like this, where dreams do come true!

That is awesome news. (And gives hope for me that one day I will be able to take my wife there as well)

Enjoy your time there. It's a dream come true for many/
