Club 33

Thanks for posting! :thumbsup2 Very interesting! I really enjoyed the video linked in the article! I also checked out the unofficial website of Club 33. Fascinating stuff.

A visit here would be a dream. Hard to imagine how cool this experience would be, although I know there are some on the DIS who've had the honor.

That would be on my Disney "bucket list", but I don't have any connections to members who could hook me up with a reservation. Which is probably the same dilemma for most people. ;)

On my Bucket list too. Along with seeing Walt's Apartment and a tour of the Disney Archives. I was never sure how realistic Bucket list items needed to be.

Darn it! You should have joined us on the DIS ABD tour in April! You could have knocked two of your items off that list in one fell swoop.

Believe me I wanted to! I just couldn't swing the $$$$$$, especially as a single. :guilty:

If I ever make it out to Disneyland, I will have this amazing opportunity. The videographer for our Disney wedding (STVS) is a member and his clients are eligible for brunch or dinner at Club 33.

It looks like an amazing opportunity.

I find it funny that their info is a little off.

the members-only five-star restaurant was built by Walt Disney in 1967 as a place where he could privately entertain guests and dignitaries that visited the theme park.

Walt passed in 66.

Seriously considering dumping DH and remarrying now! ;)

I think we all have the same bucket list.

You could always RE-MARRY DH ya know. They did an amazing job with our video (of course, I may be a bit biased ;) and for a while they were using it as a featured video. Now I have it only as a you tube video. I didn't even know about the amazing perk of Club 33 until our wedding day. Bonus! :woohoo:

We got to go in July and it was the most magical evening. From ringing the doorbell to our final escort out (we shut the place down!) it was amazing.

Our server, Doug, had been there for 10+ years and throughout the evening shared information and history with us in between courses. He took us on a tour when the dinner was complete and we got to see the trophy room and hear more interesting tidbits.

We stayed about 3 1/2 hours, finishing our evening at about 11:30 PM. The park closed at 12 and since there was no one in line for Pirates (our entire party's favorite ride at DL) we rode it and got our own boat. Not another soul in sight.

A truly unforgettable evening!!!!! I'm a little sad I didn't take more pictures, but 1) the place is really dim and I didn't want to bother other diners and 2) I wanted to enjoy the evening, not run around behind the lens of a camera.

I did, however, take a pic of the wicker "throne" in the ladies room......:rotfl:

This would be a dream come true experience :cloud9: pixiedust:

Not to counter Guru Mike :worship: but I recall reading that Club 33 did open a few months after Walt passed. :rolleyes1

cheers,

That would really be a dream come true for me too -

I think I'd cry happy tears if I ever got the chance . . . :o
My hands would be trembling - I'd be weak in the knees

What time did you make your ressie for so you could watch F from the balcony?

Jack

Just a tip: when we were there in July, you could not see Fantasmic clearly from the balcony. The trees had grown over and partially obstructed the view.

We had an 8 PM ressie and were there long enough for TWO showings of Fantasmic! The weather was fabulous and they opened the french doors and you could hear the music and the fireworks!
