Club 33

Hello everyone.

First of all, I am very sorry for my bad english, I am french.

I think I will go to Disneyland nest september with about 5 friends.

I would love just to go inside the "Club 33", to see, to buy somthing and To eat.

Please do you know, you or someone else, could be make me a happelly man and go to "Club 33" one time in my life????

A friend of my family's has a membership there and he extended an invitation to us, when we go to Disneyland. So I will probably go sometime in October.

I still cannot believe that Walt would build an exclusive club that he would only let certain people into. It's a little disappointing to me. Please don't get me wrong I still greatly admire the man and his vision. Just my opinion and observation. If I had that kind of money to spend on the membership, personally I would rather give it to a charity. Not trying to offend anyone just giving my opinion...

On that note, I do have a few questions to ask those that have been there, how much are the items (mug, bracelet, etc...)

More people access it now as a private club than he ever really intended. This was Lillian's personal space, just like the apartment was meant to be a non-public spot within his park. I don't think it's at all inappropriate or unbelieveable that Walt would want to have a "home" space at the park he spent so much time on.

As for keepsakes, ears were $10 or $15, pins were $10 and $33, travel mugs were $10 and the Christmas ornaments were $33. Except for the one really expensive pin, prices were pretty much in line with what you pay of stuff in the parks.

We had lunch there in January of 2007. We were able to get a reservation through a friend. It was fantastic! The next time we go we will not be taking the children with us.

I would love to hear more of your experience and why you are not bringing the kids next time! We are going this Saturday for the first time and we are not bringing our kids, but our friends are bringing theirs.

Lucky. My first time there the couple sitting at the table next to us let their 3 & 5 year old chase each other in circles around their table, weaving through the drapes/curtains, the entire meal (I'm not exaggerating). Because our tables were so close to each other, they kept bumping into us. We nicely asked our waiter to say something, but I don't think the messge got passed along.

Depends on what they have at the time. We bought a really beautiful wine glass with the Club 33 logo, and my husband got a gold Club 33 logo key chain. They also had shirts, mugs ect... They were out of the ears when we were there. Would love to pick those up when we go in a week!

Any idea if there is a way to arrange to ship those purchases home like you can do at the park? We will just be starting our trip and are heading on a 15 day cruise, so, I would prefer not to risk carrying breakables with me...If not, I'll find a way

Another question... Sorry. When we arrive, I know we go to guest relations and they will have our names on a list. They will get us admitted to the park. I understand we can come earlier than our reservation time and spend the rest of the day in the park. However, will we have tickets or anything? I'm just wondering if we can use fast pass. Not a big deal if we can't. I'm just trying to figure out how this will all work.

Yes, the reservations COME with tickets in to the park. We have AP's so we didn't pick them up. They did ask for them once inside Club 33 though. So I think maybe they collect them from you then. I'm assuming you'd be fine to get FP during the day while you have the tickets though.

We did lunch in October, we'll be having dinner there next week. I'd plan for at least an hour, maybe a little more. You'll really want to take it all in! Get up and walk around, check out the ladies room! Take pictures of everything!! Any longer and I'm sure they would have dragged me out of there. hehe

We did dinner in March. We had a late reservation (8:30pm) with a party of 7, so we were pretty leisurely. We really stayed and enjoyed ourselves! Everyone was so nice, attentive, and eager to show us around, etc.... We didn't leave until around 11pm! I would say it's about 1 1/2 hours, though for the meal. They serve in courses, and since you have to buy a certain dollar amount of food, you pretty much have soup, salad, main course, & dessert. As far as the merchandise, I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. They only have what they have-not always the same stuff. There were no ears, no wine glasses, etc... when we were there. We just got some pins, a pen & some note cards-all pretty easy to carry.

We were there this past weekend with a 6:00 p.m. reservation. We left the Club at about 10 minutes to 9:00 and walked to a perfect viewing spot for Fantasmic! We usually plan on 3 hours total for our meal.

How dressed up are people in the evening? I saw on one website that someone suggested a suit. We will be in the park that evening to ride a few rides (DH has never been) and I was hoping linen pants and a nice linen button down shirt would be fine for him. I can do a dress easily...

During the summer there will possibly be gentlemen in suits and ties but I believe most (not all) will be those dressed in linen or khaki pants and button down shirts. Your husband should be fine. During the winter season, with the change in temp, I see more men in jackets and ties.

What we've done in the past if we were going to be in the park for a major portion of the day is bring a change of clothes with us and put them in one of the day lockers; closer to our reservation we would just go out, grab our dinner clothes, and change in the restroom.

I went there for dinner one night. It was so weird, because my group of 9 were the only ones in that huge room. It's nice to be able to say that I've been there. I love when all my friends come up to me and ask me if I know about the private club in Disneyland, it makes me smile because I've actually been to it.

I think they like you to be all dressed up, at least that's what I was told, but you can get away with khakis and a polo or a nice button down.

i finally got to go to club 33 last weekend and it was really fantastic. our server, jeff, had worked there since 1981 and was more than happy to share stories, answer questions, and give us a tour of the club. we even got to go out onto the balcony that overlooks the blue bayou restaurant.
