Club 33 - tell me about lunch!

bbangel, I thought that was correct as well (closed-toed shoes) but I just confirmed with my contact that while flipflops are NOT allowed, sandals ARE allowed. There MUST be a strap holding the sandal on the foot. You will be asked to find something else to wear on your feet if you come in with flipflops.

Good to know!

Just found out that my husband was able to get reservations for lunch through a friend of a friend! We were hoping for dinner, but hey, it's Club 33- I'm super excited just to be able to go!

The reservations are for 2:45 p.m. What does lunch service entail? Also, I was surprised to read on our paperwork that park admission is NOT included. No biggie as we have park hoppers and weren't planning on actually getting to go to Club 33 to begin with. I had just thought that admission was part of the deal. Is that just for dinner?

I need to change around a few PS's and since I'm not sure how "heavy" lunch will be, I need to figure out dinner and breakfast for that day.

Help! :)

Congratulations on Club 33!! We had the pleasure of having lunch there for the first (and probably only, LOL) time on July 2nd. It was amazing!!

The lunch description has already been given so I won't repeat that. As for dinner, you probably won't want to eat again. Our lunch was at 12:30 and we didn't leave the club until almost 3:30. You are not rushed, so take your time between the courses :)

For the park admission, my guess is if the person making your reservation knew that you already had admission, that was probably noted on the reservation. When we went, we received 4 park hoppers but did not use them because we have APs. We were told we needed to turn the un-used tickets in at the club or the member would be charged for them (I'm guessing they want to make sure they are not sold or used by people not eating at the Club).

For shoes, while the dress code says no sandals, I did see some on people. I chose to wear flat closed-toe shoes (ballet-type) with capris. DD wore the same type with a sundress. DH and DS wore nice shorts, polo shirts and tennis shoes. We were dressed up a bit more than most :)

Other things, just for fun....
Make sure to take a few moments to step out on the balcony. Our table was right next to a door and even through no one else was going out there, our server said to feel free to go in and out as we wished. My kids watched the Tiana show from up there :-)

Take extra time to look at everything in the lounge area and on the walls. The pictures, etc are amazing!

Budget a little extra money for special Club 33 items. They are located in a cabinet in the lounge area upstairs. I was disappointed that there were no Club 33 Mickey Mouse ears when we were there, but we did all purchase Club 33 baseball hats :)

And most important, be sure and take your camera with you into the ladies room. The first thing people told me when I said I was going was to be sure and get a picture of the "thrones." ;)

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks so much everyone! I'm getting more excited by the day!

And good to know about nice sandals. I was stressing a bit about what to wear and now that I know that strappy high heels are fine, I'll go with that.
