CLUB 33 Question

So Elaw, was it worth the wait?? Everything you dreamed it would be? (must live vicariously for now. You understand, right?! hehe)

Yes ... I think I appreciate it more as an adult. People think I'm nuts for going to DLR and WDW as often as I do. Most think it's all about cramming as many rides in a day as possible. We often go for a Saturday morning and only do 1 or 2 attractions. For me its all about the atmosphere and rich history of the Original Park. I just love strolling around the place and exploring the hidden treasures.

YES! I remember loving it sooo much as a kid. Really the only happy kid memories I have...perhaps that's why it's extra special? But as an adult, seeing it though my kids eyes too. Oh man, it's so much better! It's funny that you said people think you are nuts for going as often as you do! My mom actually said just last month, "You are going to Disneyland AGAIN?! Why?? Who would Honeymoon THERE? YUCK!" LOL Most people just don't get it at all, do they?? I am the same as you, I just adore the atmosphere! I love discovering all the little details throughout the park that make it so special! I dig DLand history too! Anything I can get my hands on to read or watch! Just fascinating stuff! Walt Disney was an incredible man! What a mind, what an imagination! NOBODY else does parks like Disney!

p.s. Thanks for sharing your experience with me! It's been fun chatting! Dh enjoys Dland now, but he never went as a kid, so he doesn't quite "get it", you know? Hence why I NEED to be on Dis! So lovely to get to chat with others who love it as much as I do!!

:thumbsup2 ... You're welcome. I think it takes a certain type to "get it" .... I never went as a kid but i'm pretty sure i "get it" :)

I think you are right on that, and yea, I think you "get it", when I say "it", I mean the "fell head over heels into a vat of magical Disney pixiedust" kind of get it! HA!! You sound like you got it! lol

Thank you everyone for your responses.:flower3:

I was really trying to find out why the prices were different on Sunday not to dispute about my son. BUT since I did mention him...I didn't go into full details about my unsureness about bringing him and I still won't but I will add this to my thought process on questioning if he will "aprreciate" it....is because he is going through those fun teenager days that most parents have to expierence at some point and I don't want to reward him for his behavior lately. :headache: That's my major reason. So for that reason when I go he is just gonna have to miss that trip all together.

I wasn't trying to compare it to the Disney museum I just made that reference because in other posts I have read about how there are pics of Walt etc...(I know I saw a post by BJD talking about that and it moved me very much) and I want to look at all of that while I know my son wouldn't. So basically I will take this opportunity to soak it in without kids and hopefully will get the chance to go again and enjoy it with my kids so I can point out all the special things. (only with my son if he is on better behavior ;) )

I was raised with a Godmother who loves Disney as well and most areas of her house are Disney related including the glass window on her Front door. She has a room dedicated to Disney, her christmas tree is all Mickey ornaments & topper, she has Wyland Disney themed paintings etc... So we too have been raised in the magic of Disney. I wish my house could be Disney'd out but unfortunatley my husband is not a fan like me :sad2: so the only spot I can get away with it is a small Curio and my kitchen.

BJD I bet you have some great Disney memorabilia since your Uncle worked with Walt.

Thanks again everyone! :goodvibes

Well, I did respond to both so hopefully I was able to help. :)

Those photos bring tears to my eyes. Could there be any more magical TRUE Disney experience than Club 33??! I don't think so! That place is full of the essence of Walt Disney himself! Maybe someday!

I felt it was very magical, truly one of the most magical experiences of my life and I can only hope that I am able to experience again in the future. Not regularly of course, but I have a couple of other milestones coming up that I would love to spend there. :) I honestly worried I wouldn't be able to eat because I was so excited, turns out that was not a problem at all. LOL

Your question regarding the price difference had been addressed already.

I'm confused by the above in bold...I missed where in this thread your son was being disputed. What I got from it was: you brought up the concern about whether you should include him. Then, I only read encouraging posts regarding it. It appears you have no intention of including him in this trip, so it must be a moot point.

I've been lucky enough to be invited to Club 33 and it is a very special experience. My kids both really appreciated it and my husband, who is not a Disney nut, also had a very nice time.
Foodwise, it's GREAT, but we just had a VERY good meal at Carthay Circle Restaurant, so if you are not able to obtain an invitation to Club 33, I highly recommend Carthay Circle restaurant... the decor is amazing.

We are having lunch at Carthey Circle this next Tuesday, I am more interested in seeing the inside than I am eating there..I hope it is great as you say.
