I have been a Community Leader and to tell you all the truth, I have several times considered "stepping" down from the position. I guess I still remain one because of the fear of losing my old title. I hope you all applied because you want to help people. I know that is why I had applied. I have been a CL since this past summer but after I had applied I had to wait 2 weeks before I recieved an e-mail from them, and then another 4 weeks before they replied stating I was a CL. It is very rewarding after you have helped unknowing people. Just remember that as a community leader you don't get anything special, just the satisfaction of a good deed. Also, make sure to keep up on the information so that you will always or least as often as possible, have an answer for all the questions. Remember also, that if you don't get to be a CL it isn't the end of the world. You can still help others and guide the newbies.

Like I said in my other post, it took like two weeks before they sent anything back. Just be ready to wait a while.

A community leader is about helping others and keeping VMK safe. It's not all fame and glory. You have to be ready for resposibilities, and know what to do when others are rude. It's more then a badge, and add to your title it's like caring for a dog or cat you have resposibilities. Since I am older then most I have the maturity to respect the rules and follow them.

That sounds so good to hear!!!!! I have heard so many people applying just because they feel they will be superior to the rest! That is half the reason why I almost turned in my badge. I don't want people to think that everyone becomes a CL just for the initials (to be quite honest the CL is rather annoying lol) What I fear the most however, is that people who do the whole -taken- thing are going to apply. Many people in vmk ask others if -he/she is taken- I have gotten so sick of hearing it and they seem not to pay attention when someone explains to them that it is against the rules. . However, I have to disagree with your last comment. I think that when you come to think about it, most of the players are adults or older teens. I myself, am 17.

Also, dont forget those who sent in applications, and then the questions the week before they stopped naming new cl's. According to staff, there were a couple hundred of those, who have been waiting a few months now to hear. And again, according to staff, those will be reviewed first before any that have come in today. So patience is definitely the key.

I have lots of patience, if I don't make it this time there is always next time. Or the time after the next. Who knows just be patient and not worry about it till you do get an e-mail. But I imagine those few "hundred" who applied, some got reported, others stopped playing the game. Things like that so it narrows down.

Possibly true, but 95% of VMK acts as if they were 8 or 10. Talk about maturity.

LOL I hear ya! LOL!! I have seen a lot of that kind of behavior, but I have seen some positive behvaior as well.
