Clowning Around on the Boardwalk! A Wigdout Trip report

On a side note, there are no Disney or Vera Bradley baskets so my dollars are safe....:rotfl2:
Have a great day!

Those baskets came to my mind as I read your post..... there are always Vera ones around here!

BTW have you read some of the Vera Sale FB posts... crazy!

I have, wow! I have a friend that goes every year to that sale, but couldn't this year, and she's glad!

Hi Wigd - just checking in to say "hi"......leaving in the am! Podsnel has been texting me disney pictures since yesterday and I am about to lose my mind. Lets see - 24 hrs from now I hope to be hitting the MK for spectro and wishes! Look for my TR when I get back!:thumbsup2

I hope you have a great trip!!!

Yesterday we had our school wide field trip to the zoo and I was wiped out when I got home. The weather was perfect, but it was still a full day!

Today I'm off to a baby shower/brunch this morning and then this afternoon a large school fundraiser "Tigers in the Park", it's like a carnival, with a catered dinner and basket auction. The grade levels all had various themes for their baskets and they are just gorgeous! Our kids outdid themselves with donations.
Anywhooo it should be fun!

You've had a big week! I love the carnival idea. We have tried things like that, but with not much success. We can hardly do any fund raising, as we have to give things away to get a lot of our parents to show up. :sad2: If we want them to come to a PTA meeting or any kind of special parent night, we have to provide free dinner. If we do that, we get the whole family and extended family. There is an underlying theme of take, take, take with a large percentage of our families, unfortunately. Anyway, I think the carnival idea is awesome. Kids enjoy and remember things like that. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you had great weather for the zoo. :cool2:

Have a great trip!

The zoo and the carnival sound like a lot of fun! I bet you were wiped out yesterday!

Mary Ellen, I hope you have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

I will definitely have to try one! Sounds yummy!

She was really cute, thanks on the bag, I do like it!

Lost on Safari is 2 kinds of rum and fruit punch, can you say yum?
That baby gorilla was just the cutest! That is something you don't see everyday!
Hmmmmm, the red head.
I hope you enjoy that parfait!

There are a few of us with trips coming up, if you really want that shirt, I'll bet it can be arranged.....:goodvibes

I like that red Mickey one, the one you said you were wearing.

Have you decided on one?

We were so fortunate to get a glimpse of mama and baby!
Raglan Road was great but I would have loved to see the dancing.
So which Dooney strikes your fancy?

Lost on Safari is 2 kinds of rum and fruit punch, careful it carries a punch!
The yogurt parfait is a Beach Club specialty, I hope you enjoy it!

I think the CMs in the store thought I was nuts!
We were so lucky seeing the gorilla mom and baby!
Sneak, plot, scheme, whatever it takes to get dh to Raglan Road, it's good!

Both were great!

I hope you get to see her too, take lots of pics!
Get your own Lost of Safari and give me your review!

I will put it on my list to try!

Thanks, I'm loving the bag!
It is a cute bag!

My dear husband is always thinking of you.....
We were so thrilled to see that baby gorilla, it was amazing!
I think it was you and Jennifer that introduced me to the Lost on Safari so thank you both!
I'm thinking you need your own Slushie Lushie tag for your mailbag!
You might want to think about Raglan Road too....
:goodvibes

It's really pretty in there!

Okay, okay, you figured us out...
We were stalking the red head.

:lmao::lmao: Hope she's not a Diser!:rotfl:

I hope you get to take a good long look at that baby girl in LESS than 2 weeks time!

I know, can you believe we are both talking Animal Kingdom?

I hope you get to see that little baby and have your Lost on Safari and a celebration!

I'm sorry I didn't get to see the baby gorilla!
You should absolutely have a "Lost of Safari" it's so tasty!
I really like Happydog's red shirt too.:goodvibes:goodvibes

We will keep our fingers crossed for MeMom to see that baby gorilla!

I think I need a Slushie Lushie tag, too -- especially if we head to the Food and Wine Festival in October. I will have to PM Michelle soon.

Shocker, I finished Fairest of All tonight -- I really enjoyed it -- those three sisters were VERY creepy!
Did you PM Michelle? I know she was working on tags...;)
You certainly read that fast!

Feel free to pass the book on.....share the joy!
Yes, pass it on, we don't need it back!
I think I am going to order that book! I love the evil queen! Was it really good? Also, are there any other books like this? Sorry for sooo many questions!:lmao:
I have to admit that I didn't read it....:sad2:
We didn't see any others that looked like a series though.

Great updates! Love the new bag! That Lost on Safari sounds yummy!

Love pictures of the baby gorilla! My grandparents took me to the zoo as a young child and the baby gorilla I saw is the only thing I remember of that trip. They are so beautiful!

Congrats on your disney contract. I would love to visit Vero sometime. Speaking of trips, how is WDW in early June? It will be a couple of years before we get back. :scared1: But we are considering June then. My oldest will turn into a Disney adult then. Better make the most of those child prices. :rotfl: How is the heat and the crowds?

I bought a new Vera too! A Libby in Cupcake Pink a couple of weeks ago. I love it! It is such a fun print!

How is Harper? And Keely feeling these days?

You and Shocker got great photopass pictures this trip! I agree that several of them are desk worthy!

How did your Mickey bullentin board come out?
Thanks on the bag, love it!
Lost on Safari is so good!
Our school just took a field trip to our local zoo and we didn't have any baby gorillas so I'm going to show the kids my Disney gorilla pics on Monday!

We are happy with going in early June.
For the most part, the east coast schools aren't out yet.
Yes there are some crowds but it isn't as hot as it is later in the summer. The farther you get into June the more crowded the parks get.
Go early, get as many fast passes as you can, leave after lunch for that pool break, then go back for the evening and use your fast passes...

I love that cupcakes pink too!

Harper is growing like a weed! Keeley is doing pretty well, we are adjusting to her new situation and it's not without it's drama...

Thanks on the photo pass pictures, I haven't printed anything yet.
I need to go back and take another look!
The Mickey bulletin board came out great but now it's almost time to come down, unbelievable!

Ohhhhh Julia :rolleyes1
Just wondering if you got your schedule for next week....you have a lot of fans next week :goodvibes

Tracy
Wow, Julia, your peeps are there!
I've seen those exotic creatures every where ! There def something to strike up a conversation about :rotfl:

That I will do ! I was really close to buying a Juicy Couture bag last night but I resisted , have a lot of other things I need to spend money on right now ! lol
That's just part of the beauty of Disney, so many different people coming together!
I'm so sorry for keeping ya'll waiting for my schedule.

Monday 3:15-9:15
Tuesday3:15-9:15
Wednesday-3:15-9:15
Thursday 3:15-9:15
Friday- Off
Saturday-Off
Sunday-Not sure yet.
Woot Julia!
Thanks Julia....I'll be sure to look for you :goodvibes
I will probably be there Sunday night (the 1st) for EMH too...

Tracy
Gosh I hope you meet up with our girl!
I enjoyed the book and it was a very easy read. It was not my typical genre but the Evil Queen is my favorite Disney character! I happened to notice this one at Disney and decided to buy it on Amazon, I think, when we got back from our December trip.

What he said!

If you PM'ed me for a slushie lushie image, you should have an email. :) If you haven't PM'ed me and want a slushie lushie image, PM me. :)
Thanks Michelle, You are the best!
Ok, Wigd, I caved. I straight ironed my hair this morning with DD's straightener and really liked how it looked. Soooo I ordered a CHI straightener. :rolleyes1 I think I got a really good price from Amazon, $76.47, regular $190. :woohoo: Now I just have to wait until Monday for it to arrive. :rolleyes1
I would love to see a picture of you with your new do!
The baby is just precious

I must have a lost in Safari in August!

LOVE the bag...they do NOT have that one in DTD CA, they have the rest, and a couple others I didn't see in your pics but not the navy one. It is adorable!!!!!!!
That Lost on Safari will be just perfect in August! Just don't drink it too fast!
The navy and white just stood out and called to me!

I was wondering the same thing. I PM'd her but did not hear back.

I hope she finally got back with you!

Slushie Lushie

Have the BCV rooms been refurbed? SAB is beginning to look VERY appealing this summer. Especially since that giant clown head is so creepy!
I'm pretty sure Beach Club has not reburbed the villa rooms so actually Boardwalk villas are much nicer...
If you aren't wanting to use Stormalong I'd stick with BWV...

We'll be at MK all day on Tuesday, so I'll be sure and be on the lookout for you. If you happen to see a girl with a big giraffe print camera bag with a LGMH attached to it, grab me and say hi!
I hope you all meet up!
:goodvibes

Hey guys!!! I will be looking out for you guys!!! Sorry I didnt write back asap, I'm having to pack and there's lots of stuff going on around here!!!!! If you cant find me make sure to ask someone. I'll try to have the right name tag on!! lol.You guys know me from the picture on here..I pretty much look the same!
I hope they printed out your picture and are carrying it around like a wanted poster!
You will love it!! :lovestruc And that was a really great price too!! :woohoo:

Thanks again Michelle for the SL tag :rotfl2: I am going to print them out and laminate them tonight!! :thumbsup2 I will wear it with pride ;)

Tracy
I can't wait to see all the pics of the card carrying slushie lushie members!
I'll be there too, will try to stop by and say hi on Monday!
I hope you take pics with Julia!
Loved the baby gorilla and mom napping! :lovestruc You were at the right place at the right time. :thumbsup2 I hope we get to see her in June!

That dress is pretty; you could always get it while you're there before the cruise. Just sayin' ;)
I hope you get to see that baby gorilla too, we will try to see her in June as well...
I'll be looking for the dress when we go back!

I really like the black bag with the multicolor Mickeys... but I like your navy one, too!

Kathy
I really like the D&B cruise bag....:rolleyes1
Ah, now I have grown quite fond of Pennywise (AKA the creepy clown head) at BWV!
:lmao:

I agree, I developed a bit of a crush on him over spring break.
Are you enabling an enabler???
That sounds like throwing gasoline on a fire to me!
It seemed like a good price to me. Well at least much better than $130. :rotfl: I think I may need layers and my hair to be thinned a little also.
Layers are the "in" thing right now so I say go for it!
Yes I did, the link is in my signature. Though.. be warned... it's LONG! LOL and i've already done a couple updates and i'm not at the part where we actually, uh, get to Disney. YET. But I will be soon! hahaha
In need to head your way!
:rotfl2:

I'm trying...

Awwww the baby gorilla is cute in an ugly kinda way.:cutie: Kinda like a Pug! ;) What a great picture to see momma and baby together. So sweet!!!!
I have to say that my favorite shopping picture would be the the D&B purses!!!! :):):)

I know just what you mean about that baby! I just love that kind of cute!
Did you happen to see the cruise D&B?

Those baskets came to my mind as I read your post..... there are always Vera ones around here!

BTW have you read some of the Vera Sale FB posts... crazy!
If we had Vera baskets I would have been tempted but our baskets went so high....
I did read some of the comments.
Sounds like the sell was kind of a mess.
Was it like that when you went?

I have, wow! I have a friend that goes every year to that sale, but couldn't this year, and she's glad!
I would sure like to go sometime. I guess you just prepare for long lines.
You've had a big week! I love the carnival idea. We have tried things like that, but with not much success. Anyway, I think the carnival idea is awesome. Kids enjoy and remember things like that. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you had great weather for the zoo. :cool2:
Your school sounds like my old school and the school where Shocker is now. If you give away food they will come and bring everyone...
They sure know how to work the system.
This was Baylor's last year to be a "Tiger in the Park"
.
The zoo and the carnival sound like a lot of fun! I bet you were wiped out yesterday!
It was a long evening, we ended up with 50 baskets in the auction. Most sold in the $75-$100 range with some going over $200!
We also had some raffles.
We came home empty handed...
That's fine, more money for Disney!

Have a great trip!

Have a wonderful trip Mary Ellen! We will be waiting for your TR when you return!

I'm pretty sure Beach Club has not reburbed the villa rooms so actually Boardwalk villas are much nicer...
If you aren't wanting to use Stormalong I'd stick with BWV...

Thanks Anita!
I'm going to stick with BWV. Even though I'd love to try SAB, I'd rather have a newly redone room. I just wish their one bedroom villas had two bathrooms like BLT.

On we go.....

I believe it's Tuesday.

We jumped up and made the short walk to Hollywood studios to be greeted by the crowds waiting to get in the park.

At this point I'm really happy that we aren't wanting to ride anything just happy to be at Disney....

DSCN0803.jpg

As the masses ran with the bulls to TSM we moseyed over here for FPs for later use.

DSCN0804.jpg

Then headed here in hopes of trying out a carrot cake cookie we had heard about in Happydogs report.

DSCN0805.jpg

They didn't have a single carrot cake cookie but I did take some pictures of some very interesting items in the shop!

DSCN3809.jpg

Passing by Sci Fi Marc was frightened by the billboard, we'll have to be more careful next time!

DSCN3811.jpg

Thank goodness it was time for us to leave the studios....
I had to run to keep up with Shocker as he hurried from the park.

We had an appointment at Bay Lake for a DVC event.
We were meeting up with Michelle and John

DSCN0822.jpg

It was great, we showed up at the front door to BLT and it was locked.
So we walked to the Contemporary.
Then we went back and Michelle and John let us in.
Up we went to the Top of the Tower!
So nice!

Here we are out on the observation deck!

DSCN3813.jpg

They sure served up a nice spread of food for the gathering.
Finger sandwiches, chocolate dipped cheesecake pops, yummy!

DSCN0832.jpg

DSCN0831.jpg

We played DVC trivia for prizes, they gave away DVC pins and of course presented the new incentives!
We didn't win or make a purchase but we did enjoy the presentation, the tour, the company and the food!

Cont. in next post.

Before we left Bay Lake we toured the One bedroom and Studio villas.
I wasn't sure I was going to like the decor but I fell in love with it!

First up is the one bedroom villa!

John and Michelle were going to decide on their AP renewal and we were going to see about meeting up with them later, but would that happen?
WE
Shall
See!

We were so close to MK how could we not just walk over?
So we did!

It was parade time and we happened upon the perfect curb spot so I sat.

Immediately this is what I saw!

DSCN0873.jpg

We had an early evening ADR at Shula's and Marc had a decision to make...

Awesome update! The view from Bay Lake is amazing!! I just bought the girls matching shirts for 4th of July and coordinating red, white, and blue sundresses for our night of fun!!!

Love the update.

Crazy crowded outside DHS waiting for opening. I guess that's one good thing I missed by not being able to rouse my sleeping teenagers! ;)

So don't keep me waiting too long.........................Can't wait to hear what Mark ate! :)
