New at posting here, but I wanted to share about our anniversary trip in Dec. I am open to suggestions, so let me know exactly what I need to do.

My DH and I will have been married for 22 years in December. I always wanted a Christmas wedding, but I did not realize how much we would have to give up celebrating anniversaries until we had kids. Due to both of our children being in concert band at school and our singing in the choir at church, our anniversary usually involved going to concerts and/or doing a Christmas program at church. We would grab dinner out on a night we weren't too busy and usually go shopping for gifts for the kids and family.
About July, I looked at our bank account and realized, even w/ our DD in college, we had enough in savings to swing a short trip to WDW.
Now to convince the Hubby that we really need to go this year and plan before Holiday activities get in the way. Plus Disney at Christmas, I couldn't wait!:yay:

We had gone on a Disney cruise the year my DD graduated from High school
(our gift to her for a job well done) And it was our 20th anniversary that year, but as much fun as we had, no real alone time. Our kids still love to hang out w/ us so this decision was hard to think about how they would feel about us going. But surprise- they are all for it! (although sad they don't get to go see Mickey)

I checked several different packages and resorts to find exactly the right one. I added the DP and 4 day passes (Park Hopper since we are only there for a short time)
I chose Coronado Springs after much info from the DIS (which I found when preparing for our cruise) and then presented the total price to DH. I was so excited when he said, "Sure, why not?"

Next comes the fun part of planning our trip- I am the TA in the family ( not by career, just love planning and researching our vacations)
Our choir director scheduled the Christmas musical for the weekend before our trip and DH has vacation time and friends will let my DS stay with them. DD will not be done with finals until after we are gone so she is working out a ride home. Things are falling into place!
Here are my ADRs as of right now ( if they have not all vanished due to updates on the Disney site)

We arrive to CSR on Thursday December 9th- driving down from KY on Wed. and spending the night in FL.
Day 1:
AK for the day and then to
AKL to Boma for Dinner (we went there last trip and loved it)
Then to DTD for shopping and probably sight seeing the Christmas decorations at different resorts

Day 2-December 10th Our Anniversary!

We plan to visit MK and Epcot and have a very special ADR
DH loved Coral Reef last time we were there, and I searched daily for several weeks looking for a ressie and finally snagged one! It is a surprise for him, so I can't wait!!!!
Then off to see Illuminations and enjoy the EMH until we are tired and ready to go back to our resort.
