Do you have to wear bathing suit type attire or is a t-shirt and jeans/shorts ok? We're going in late Oct. Never been in one before. DH says I will get wet. Well, that may be true if HE'S operating it. BUT, if I can be in one of my own, I think I can keep myself dry. Who's right? Thanks! (Wasn't sure where to post this question.)

We didn't get wet when we just went on them for the first time this month. Hubby tried to get me a little but it wasn't more than some spray (mostly in my face). Boys will be boys... The CMs actually told us we won't get wet unless we really try to.

If you drive like I do (hopping the wake of the ferry) then you may get a little wet, but not much. If you drive like most, then you have nothing to worry about:)

I agree that you won't get wet unless you really try. We've rented them in very cool weather and stayed nice and dry.

It's actually lots of fun to rent in the winter months as not many other people are out on the lakes.

Be advised that the Watercraft CMs operating the WDW Watercraft boats servicing the MK have radios and you can guarantee they will report ANYONE using Searaycers driving recklessly or too close to the ferry boats, motor cruisers and motor launches to Lake Patrol who, depending on the circumstances, will throw the offender(s) off the water.

Stay at least 150' away from the ferry boats, cruisers and launches and stay out of the ferry boat channel - except to cross it perpendicular to the ferry boat direction of travel.

It certainly sometimes seems that guests renting Searaycers must sign a statement certifying that they are complete idiots and are willing to risk their lives and the safety of their rider, if any, in order to rent in these small boats.

Thanks, guys! I'm looking forward to it now! There's three of us so if I go with DH and DD, I'll need to get my own SR.
