cloth overnight diapers for older child

We have great luck with Ladder Hill Designs Overnight Solutions. They are called Tinkle Time Trainers in the smaller sizes (4 and under I think). The Mom who makes them is very helpful too. You can email her through the website. We also used a Snap Ez overnight cloth trainer, but my LO never liked it as well.

Op here again.
Thanks for all the great suggestions.

At the moment I don't want to use a sensor on the bed. He shares the room with 2 older siblings. Waking everyone up at night just won't work.,

I heard back from a lady that has a business selling cloth diapers.. She was recommended by a few other moms. She has a few options for us. I hope to meet with her soon to see what she has to offer and to answer my ?'s.

He wears the pull up for now. The good night brand seemed that they would be too big for his size so I have never tried them. Currently he has not soaked thru to the bedding -- which is good. I do put part of a crib waterproof mattress pad under where he sleeps. I had cut off the fitted part., it's been quite some time since I had to change the bed due to leakage. Some nights he is fairly dry - others not so much.

Thank you for sharing your stories and suggestions with me. It has been helpful. I was really unsure which way to go. Now I think I have an idea. Hoping it works out.

Happy New Years!!

I like these. Especially that they look like underwear. I'm thinking the few the lady offered are going to be more of a diaper style. Only thing is they look like they r sold out of most styles

Oh just saw ladder hill design sells a pattern for their tinkle time pants. I'd have to research to see how I can find the fabric that I would need. All of their pants are sold out except for a size 4 which would b too small.

Hi...sorry, coming in late here. If the issue is with the pull-ups being itchy, have you tried having him wear a pair of underwear under the pull-ups?

We used this to help DS because he would recognize the underwear being wet so it would help him to wake up. And it would not soak the whole bed. I would think it would also work to eliminate the itchy-ness caused by the pull-up.
Plus, if he woke up dry, the pull-up could be used again the next night since it had not been used directly against him.

OP here-- Sorry for taking so long to respond. I honestly don't know where January went to. I'm still looking for it! :rotfl:

I thought of putting a regular pair of underwear on him then his pullup bc he is itchy from the pull up but I am worried that the underwear will get soaked and it will sit against him all night and cause further irritation.

I did meet with a local business owner and purchased a AIO fuzz bunz (I think) from her but ended up returning it. I tried it on him and it just didnt' look right. He was uncomfortable too. She was great in giving me more information about cloth diapering.

I have looked over the Ladder Hill design brand a dis'er recommended. I like the look of them- more underwear looking. She has been out of stock for a while. I did email her and she is hoping to have stock back in. She also has the pattern for sale and kindly gave me the names businesses I can by the fabric from. From a sewing standpoint the prices are not back. I am sure I can get a few pairs of them if not more for the size of fabric. I just want to make sure I can get all fabric I need. I would be interested in purchasing one just to see how it is contructed and if it works then buy the supplies needed.

I also plan on contacting the company that does the good nites pants and see if they will send me a sample so we can see if they might not be itchy for him.

He is doing good at night. Some nights not so wet others not so dry.

Thank you for all that offered advice.
