It has been several years since we have been but the last couple of times were disappointing in Future World.

There's going to be slim pickings for lunch on the Future World side.

Yeah, will push more people in that area to Sunshine Seasons

Good thing there is basically an entire additional park with tons of food options around the lagoon - but a bit of a walk

They've had cronuts at Refreshment Port in the past. Hopefully it'll be a holiday snack.

i think we ate there once, maybe twice. I don't remember if it was good or bad. I don't worry that Disney will suddenly run low on places to stop and eat.... besides, If we are hungry at Epcot we head to World Showcase.

I have some really good memories of the place. When I moved to Orlando, I was staying home for the summer with my son. We went to Epcot about once a week. I would bring a snack for him and we would go in before they opened, sit down and he would eat his snack while I people watched out the window. Funny what little stuff like that you remember better rather than the big attractions.

Disappointed in this. Electric Umbrella is our "go-to" place for lunch at Epcot. Yeah, I know; we a hamburger/nuggets family. I can live with that label

Our best memories are there. We would jump in there during the thunderstorms that pop up. I remember how my DD and DS scared they were during some particularly bad storms about 10 years ago. The place and the comfort food we got there helped them so much! The place will be missed.

I don’t know where I’m going to be able to eat a QS meal in Epcot anymore. I admit to being a highly picky eater and I eat a WHOLE lot of chicken nuggets when in WDW. Now I no longer have Electric Umbrella OR Liberty Inn (since is becoming a BBQ joint I’m assuming my nuggets are off the menu but I could get lucky there).

Now I no longer have Electric Umbrella OR Liberty Inn (since is becoming a BBQ joint I’m assuming my nuggets are off the menu but I could get lucky there).

I’m thinking the new BBQ will keep nuggets and burgers plus sunshine season might make temporary adjustments to their menu and once the new future world area opens hopefully they will have some nugget and burger options

Both were great air conditioning rest spots in the Summer.

Oh, this is so sad!

I have great memories of just "hanging out" in the Electric Umbrella. It was our go-to cool-down, leg-resting, rehydrating, phone-charging place. We loved that once you paid for a drink cup, you could have all the refills you wanted, and we knew where all the electric outlets were for phone-charging.

It's a shame that Future World is changing so drastically, but its time has come. Hopefully, this will allow Epcot to modernize for the first time in what feels like decades and make way for a better restaurant.

Interesting to see them remove Electric Umbrella as that leaves very few options for quick service in Future World
